In June a Reno Nevada homicide detective, David Jenkins was sitting inside his unmarked car - one equipped with emergency lights on the dash and a police radio chattering away) when 19 year old Mercedes Green hopped into the car.
Green propositioned the detective for sex saying “You’re not the police are you?” as she propositioned him. The detective asked her “What do you think?” and she replied “I didn’t think so”.
Once she was arrested Mercedes explained that the didn’t think police were allowed to wear glasses so that’s why she didn’t believe he was an officer of the law.
Hmm if she didn’t think he was a cop I wonder what she thought the police radio and emergency light were for when she saw them? Duh!
In early June it was reported that a legally blind mountaineer had successfully climbed Mount Hood. He made it to the top with the help of his faithful guide dog, Rasha, and his best friend, Diego Joven.
Amazingly, John Wimmer, 37, has already conquered about a half dozen mountains across the western United States.
Wimmer has a message to others, he says “Go after your dreams”. He obviously did! He lost his eyesight at the age of 5 but his spirit remained.
Wimmer and friends moved on to tackle Mount Rainier. During their trip they will document the effects of pollution, raise awareness about climate change and raise money for Unicef. You can follow their amazing journey by visiting WhatsYourImpossible.com.
Police Taser man they are trying to rescue?
In June Mark Holder, 30, had a seizure as he drove his car in Boynton Beach Florida. His car swerved off the road and smashed into a sign. He was apparently badly injured in the accident.
Emergency workers arrived to assist the man and attempted to put a neck brace on him to stabilize his neck to prevent any further damage if any existed. However, while the man was being assisted by EMS workers he became combative … likely due to the seizure that he’d just had, he probably didn’t know what was going on.
So what did the people trying to help him do? They tasered him … well the police did - several times just so that the EMS workers could fit the brace to the drivers neck. Yeah, that was helpful. I wonder what the Emergency Medical Service workers thought of their patient being tasered?
