In June a Reno Nevada homicide detective, David Jenkins was sitting inside his unmarked car – one equipped with emergency lights on the dash and a police radio chattering away) when 19 year old Mercedes Green hopped into the car.
Green propositioned the detective for sex saying “You’re not the police are you?” as she propositioned him. The detective asked her “What do you think?” and she replied “I didn’t think so”.
Once she was arrested Mercedes explained that the didn’t think police were allowed to wear glasses so that’s why she didn’t believe he was an officer of the law.
Hmm if she didn’t think he was a cop I wonder what she thought the police radio and emergency light were for when she saw them? Duh!

A Nevada woman believes she’s received a message from God … on a highway off ramp no less!
Carla Dupree, 29, gave birth to her fifth child after she pulled off a Reno freeway. She says that was a sign from God to not have any more children.
“I had him on the freeway,” she said. “This is the last one. God is telling me something.”

Well the effort to legalize pot in Nevada has gone up in smoke. Nevada voters recently squashed the amendment when voting on a number of ballot issues. Question seven on the ballot called for a measure that would have allowed adults to possess up to one ounce of marijuana legally. The state would have also taxed and regulated the sale of weed.
Do any of my readers live in Nevada? How would you feel if pot had been legalized in your state?
