I find it hard to believe that there are still a lot of businesses out there that don’t have a website. I think everyone in business should have a website as it’s just another way of promoting your company. I hate it when I’m interested in going out to a restaurant and when I go to look them up on the internet to see if I’d like their menu or not I discover that they don’t have a website. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Believe me, I’m trying to talk them into putting a website up, one business at a time.
Now, for businesses that do have websites I’m sure that they could target their site traffic better by using a web promotion and marketing service such as servicewrap.net. Any business could use search engine marketing services or SEM as it’s often called. Any company from plumbers to hair stylists or even my pet peeve - restaurants. Marketing could be targeted to local directories to ensure that a large portion of the sites visitors are within the businesses local area. It just makes good business sense to 1. have a website for your business, and 2. to put as much effort into promoting your online venture as you normally do for your actual business.
