Anyone planning a vacation in Germany this year? It’d be great to visit in time for Octoberfest wouldn’t it? Beer, sausages, snitchel, and sauerkraut. Yum. If you are planning on going to Octoberfest I hope that you already looked for Hotels in Berlin. I actually think the festivals on right now. Oops. Well maybe next year for Octoberfest then. How about touring some castles or going to some of the famous spa resorts in Germany then?

I’d like to visit Vienna someday. It sounds like such a beautiful city. I know that I’d like to go on some of the walking tours in Vienna and perhaps even do some wine tasting too. I’m not sure that it’d be a good idea to combine the two activities though!

I’ve heard that there’s some beautiful Hotels in Vienna. The Bristol Hotel looks like a castle. It’s amazing! I think I’d want to stay there if I were going to Vienna. It’s a full service hotel from what I’ve read.

Have you been to Europe? Maybe Germany? What Hotels in Berlin would you recommend? As I said earlier theres a lot of reasons to visit Berlin, Germany and I hope that one day well visit that city as well as Vienna and a few other European must see cities as well.

Hotels in Hawaii are pampering their guests, including the four-legged variety. A growing number of tourists want to bring Fido along for a trip to the islands.

The Kahala, one of Oahu’s most luxurious hotels, gives its tail-wagging guests fresh-baked biscuits, with their names inscribed on the top.

The hotel also offers dog-walking and pet pillows alongside the guest beds. The Sheraton Princess and Four Seasons Resort Maui are among other upscale hotels which also offer the lush life to small critters.

I was just looking at some of the vacation home rentals that are listed at Rocky Point rentals and I think that perhaps the next time we vacation in Mexico that we might rent a vacation home rather than stay at a resort or hotel.

The vacation homes and condos are all luxurious, have beach front views, fully equipped kitchens and satellite TV. You certainly don’t always get that when you stay in a hotel or a resort.

Just for the heck of it I decided to check on the availability of vacation rentals starting March 30th for a 6 night stay for two. There were a number of vacation homes to choose from, and when I checked the price I found that they were quite reasonable. The cost of renting one of these luxury homes for a week was about the same as staying at a resort or less.

However, think about all the extra space - many of these rental homes have two to four bedrooms, the ability to cook your own food, and in many cases not only a beach front view, but the beach pretty much right at your door.

I think it would be much nicer to take a vacation and rent a home for a week. I think you’d end up saving money and having a much more relaxing vacation. I mean, I’d rather have a whole house to lounge around in than a cramped hotel room any day!

As soon as I came across HotelReservations.com a few weeks ago I was sure to bookmark it. We don’t do a lot of traveling, not lately anyway, but I’m keeping this site in mind for the next time that one or both of us ends up traveling and needs to make Hotel Reservations. I know we’ll find rooms that are in good hotels and for reasonable prices.

As I said we don’t travel much so that should put a little bit of weight on the fact that I have bookmarked this site. Why did I bookmark it? Well, because I know that when we do travel to just about anywhere in the world I can go to Hotelreservations.com and find not only hotel rooms to book right then and there, but car rentals, and flights too.

This site actually fulfills many vacation needs. As I’ve browsed through the site I’ve found that if I’d prefer to book a vacation rental - perhaps a ski chalet in the winter, or a summer house on the beach I can probably find accommodations at these types of lodgings too. It’s not just hotel rentals.

In fact, they even have complete vacation packages. You can click on their vacation package tab, then fill out a little bit of information such as the type of package you are looking for - flight, hotel and car or any combination. Then choose your departure city, and the city you’d like to visit.

Just for the heck of it I went through the process and decided what kind of packages they had for flight and hotel, for the weekend of Friday January 19th to Monday January 22nd from Toronto to Los Angeles for two adults.

I found that I could sort my results by price, hotel name, price or even city (if I’d chosen to have more than one travel destination). The first result at the top of the list, is I presume, the hotelreservations.com pick. They suggested hotel Angelino, with a total cost of $1464 for two adults and three nights hotel accommodations. I suppose that’s not bad. I then sorted by price and the lowest price I got was $1130. Now I know that prices for flights and hotel accommodations can be higher or lower depending on what day and what date you are traveling so I would suggest fooling around with departure dates in order to find the best prices. Perhaps if I’d chosen to book from Thursday to Sunday or different dates, I might have found a few lower prices.
