Lottery winner gets attacked

A few months ago a 55 year old woman was about to go into the Virginia Lottery office to cash winning lottery tickets worth $10,000 when she was attacked.

The two men who attacked her are now behind bars. Blake Jordan and Kenneth Marshall, both 22, apparently attacked the woman with a hammer. They’ve been charged with maiming, attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

One of the men is apparently a nephew of the 55 year old woman. Isn’t that cold blooded?

Keary Fox, 56, a lottery worker, first hear the woman scream at 1:10 pm so he ran outside and saw Jordan on top of the woman. He put Jordan in a headlock while a customer took the hammer out of his hand. The pair held him until police arrived. Marshall was arrested later in the day.

The woman suffered lacerations to the back of the head. Lucky for her that lottery worker came by when he did or she might have had worse injuries or perhaps even have been murdered.

Coffin Purchases are apparently a big tip off

You’d think most police officers would have an idea when eight people are murdered, but apparently the Columbian Police were unaware of some suspicious murders until the victims relatives decided to purchase coffins for the burial of their murdered relatives.

The province in Columbia, near Ecuador, in which the coffins were purchased is a key Cocaine production area. Leftist rebels and drug gangs frequently fight over smuggling routes in the area.

Now that the police have become suspicious about the deaths of eight people they are investigating the case. Police said the murders appeared to be part of a robbery where one trafficking group stole a large amount of coca base from another group and used it to make cocaine.

You gotta serve somebody

I found another story with kind hearted crooks.

In Uruguay, three thieves robbing a sporting-goods store spent half an hour waiting on customers before making their getaway.

Unusual? Well they’d just locked up one employee in a back room and forced another to hand over money when some customers came into the shop in Montevideo. The robbers sold them goods for about 30 minutes before taking off.
