This cats sure got the right idea!

The perfect way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon. Excuse me while I go catch some Zzzz’s.

This is our Labrador Retriever puppy, Midnight.

Last night she fell asleep on the couch at my feet. I got up to get something from the kitchen and when I came back she’d taken over the couch. Yeah it’s a love seat but as you can see she didn’t leave any room for me to sit down!

This is maybe one of the oddest positions that I’ve seen her sleep in. You probably can’t tell just how bent her back was by this picture, but she was bent backwards, almost in a U shape.

I know if I fell asleep in that position I probably wouldn’t be able to move my neck the next day … not to mention my back would ache like crazy too!

Our puppy sleeps like this!

I’m always amazed at the positions that young animals like puppies and kittens, and of course human babies can manage to get themselves into while sleeping or playing.

Our puppy sometimes has a nap at my wives feet at the end of the couch, or more often while in her training crate. She tosses and turns and we’ll often see her feet up in the air as she snoozes. It’s too funny.

What would you think if you were working in one of the buildings across from the one where an unidentified man was washing window while tethered to security ropes at the 20th floor and appeared motionless for 30 minutes? You’d think something happened to him, I know you would.

Well so did some of the observers who really did see him. Luckily as it turns out he just happened to have a nap. Fire rescue vehicles arriving on the scene woke him up. He lowered himself to the street unharmed.

I wonder if his boss docked him a half hours pay for sleeping on the job?
