Now you can really get your fix of odd news!
I found this collection of recent odd news videos and I thought you might enjoy it.
In this installation you’ll see people participating in a poop and scoop collection contest, see people pigging out on pig skins (bleh!), here about inept bank robbers, see a bride in a toilet paper wedding gown plus several more videos mostly dealing with weird foods, eating contests and of course our favorite - dumb criminals.
Check it out:
Just scroll through the list and watch any videos that interest you. I’m sure you’ll find at least one that gives you a giggle!
Have a great weekend!
An intoxicated 23 year old man tried to climb over a freight train that was stopped at a downtown crossing in Fargo N.D. Unfortunately for him the train started moving before he’d finished climbing over it.
The man called 911 from his cell phone when the train reached the Casselton area west of Fargo because he was cold and wanted to get off the train. The police dispatcher called the BNSF railway who then alerted the trains conductor.
“A few miles west of Casselton they were able to stop the train and (the man) got off,” Cass County Deputy Sheriff Shawn Getz said.
The man didn’t require medical attention, and the railroad didn’t press charges. However, the man was taken to a detox center.
David Scholnick of Pacific University has a profound interest in how shrimp act when they get an infection. He gauges how they act by by building a tiny treadmill in order to run crustaceans through their paces to measure blood lactate levels.
I have this picture in my head of several shrimp lined up on treadmills with little towels behind their necks. LOL
Scholnick told livescience.com last October “As far as I know, this is the first time that shrimp have been exercised on a treadmill.” To increase the shrimps’ stress, Scholnick designed tiny backpacks out of duct tape but still found that healthy shrimp could go for about an hour without fatigue.
OMG I wish I had a photo of that. Can someone make me a cartoon of shrimp on a treadmill with little backpacks on their backs?
