I suppose if you wanted to kill yourself there are hundreds of different ways to do it, but did you know that in Japan - who’s suicide rate is high, the most popular method of killing one’s self is to leap to their death.

Sorry, that wouldn’t be my first choice!

I guess this choice of suicide is dangerous for pedestrians as well. In April an 18 year old woman jumped to her death from a nine story Tokyo building. Unfortunately she landed on a 60 year old pedestrian who was walking by at the time. Luckily he only suffered bruises. Same for a 27 year old man who was landed on by a 39 year old jumper in May 2000. This last event also happened in Tokyo so I guess if your visiting the city stay away from high buildings!

How eerie is this? A Dutch woman, who had already planned her own funeral and purchased her plot after her husbands death last year, was found dead next to the grave in Amsterdam where she wanted to be buried. The widow, 65, probably died of a heart attack while she was visiting the family grave where her name, but no date, was already inscribed.

She had been carrying a bag with her that containing her will and had already organised details of her funeral including the music she wanted played.

I wonder if she really did just happen to die beside her own grave to be, or if she committed suicide? The report doesn’t state whether an autopsy was performed.

What an idiot!

Anti-abortion protester David Robert McMenemy, 45, allegedly scoured the Midwest looking for an abortion clinic. He found a women’s clinic in Davenport, Iowa. Once there, the Michigan resident allegedly drove his car through the front of the clinic, doused it with gasoline and set it on fire. “McMenemy hoped his actions would stop or disrupt the clinic’s activities and save some babies’ lives,” federal indictment papers note.

There was just one problem with his plan: the clinic does not perform abortions, but rather offers pre-natal care to poor women. “We think he intended for it to be a suicide but he found out burning would be too painful,” said the county prosecutor. The clinic suffered about $170,000 in damage and was closed for weeks.

…So pretty much all he accomplished was to stop or disrupt the clinic’s activities and risk many babies’ lives. What an idiot. Isn’t he supposed to be prolife if he’s an anti-abortionist? He could have killed someone in the clinic and seeing as how events turned out he’s put the lives of several unborn children and their mothers at risk.
