Nude man walking a dog tasered by police

A Tallahassee Florida police officer came upon a man last Friday who was walking his dog on the beach while in the nude.

The police officer asked the man what he was doing and he replied to the officer “Allah told me to watch a Bruce Willis movie and walk the dog”. The man apparently refused to follow the officer’s commands and ended up being tasered as it was the only way to subdue the man without having to hurt him.

The man was then sent for mental-health evaluation and treatment.

Getting Tasered restores irregular heartbeat to normal rhythm

I’ve written several stories here about people being accidentally tasered or taser use being abused, but here’s one where getting tasered might have actually helped someone.

An article published in the June Annals of Emergence Medicine by Cardiologists at Hartford described a patients who’d suffered from irregular heartbeats.  His heart rhythm was restored to normal after he was Tasered by police.

I hope this man sues!

Police Taser man they are trying to rescue?

In June Mark Holder, 30, had a seizure as he drove his car in Boynton Beach Florida. His car swerved off the road and smashed into a sign. He was apparently badly injured in the accident.

Emergency workers arrived to assist the man and attempted to put a neck brace on him to stabilize his neck to prevent any further damage if any existed. However, while the man was being assisted by EMS workers he became combative … likely due to the seizure that he’d just had, he probably didn’t know what was going on.

So what did the people trying to help him do? They tasered him … well the police did – several times just so that the EMS workers could fit the brace to the drivers neck. Yeah, that was helpful. I wonder what the Emergency Medical Service workers thought of their patient being tasered?
