In an ironic twist the Chief of Police of Oslo, Norway, Anstein Gjengedal, had his wallet pickpocketed a few days before he was set to announce a crackdown on pickpocketers.
The chief was on the Oslo Airport train when a group of people bumped into him. Checking his pockets a few minutes later the police chief realized that his wallet was gone.
Looks like that crackdown is timely!

An intoxicated 23 year old man tried to climb over a freight train that was stopped at a downtown crossing in Fargo N.D. Unfortunately for him the train started moving before he’d finished climbing over it.
The man called 911 from his cell phone when the train reached the Casselton area west of Fargo because he was cold and wanted to get off the train. The police dispatcher called the BNSF railway who then alerted the trains conductor.
“A few miles west of Casselton they were able to stop the train and (the man) got off,” Cass County Deputy Sheriff Shawn Getz said.
The man didn’t require medical attention, and the railroad didn’t press charges. However, the man was taken to a detox center.

A woman in labor caused a high-speed train to make an unscheduled stop when the 21 year old woman gave birth to a baby girl in the restaurant car. The train had been traveling between the capital, Lisbon, and the Countries second largest city, Porto, when the woman went into labor.
The ticket collector and one of the kitchen workers went to the womans aid, but a male nurse answered the call over the trains intercom system and ended up assisting the woman with the delivery. The mother and baby girl were taken to the hospital when the train stopped at the first available station. The baby girl is to be baptized with the name Mariana. Both mother and baby are healthy and in good condition.

We’re starting to plan our family holiday for this coming spring, and we’re thinking of doing something different this year, like going to Arizona to see the Chicago Cubs play in the Cactus Leagues as part of their spring training. We’ve never been to Arizona so it would be a bonus to go there. The Grand Canyon would have to be on the list of sites to see.
The Spring Training games are taking place in Mesa, Pheonix, Scottsdale, Tucson, Tempe In March so we’d just have to figure out when we want to go in order to figure out which Spring Training tickets to the Cubs we’d want to purchase.
I think we’d probably go near the beginning of March and if we do most of the games are in Mesa around that time period. They’re being held in Hohokam Park. The best seats are right behind home plate in section 100 row L, but the seats in section 115 row A that are just past first base on the Chicago Cubs side look pretty good too. I guess we’ll have to decide which we want and see what’s available and we should probably do that soon before all the best seats are sold out. Decisions decisions. Nah we’re going to have a great time. I’m even going to see if I can get my brother to get some time off work and come with us. He lives in Chicago and he’s a Cubs fan so I’m sure he’d love to join us.
