Iris – taken Saturday April 21, 2007, Toronto These are tiny dwarf irises (danfordia). They only bloom for a few days each year, but it’s worth the wait. They’re lovely.

This reminds me of spring, the snow outside my window does not but I guess I’ll have to take that up with the weather, this is an amazing picture.

The contrast between the bright color of the irises and the drear dull dead leaves on the ground is striking.
