Gorgeous Maroon Trillium - Ontario’s provincial flower
we had white ones where I grew up in the green river valley area east of Seattle.
My mom told me not to pick them — because they wouldn’t bloom the next year. I wonder if that was an old wives tale or botanically the truth.
Beautiful shot. I wish I had these in my garden.
The vivid colours are stunning.
Beautiful work - both nature’s and yours.
Gorgeous specimen, VERY well shot, Ive never seen the centres so well - even in field guides - Bravo!
