IMG_0246

In early July parts of the city of Toronto shut down for street festivals.

This is Yonge street in downtown Toronto. It’s been claimed in the past to be the longest street in the world as it begins near Lake Ontario in Toronto, Ontario and ends in the province of Manitoba – more than 1178 miles or 1896 Km later.

On this July day I took advantage of the street being shut down and stood in the middle of the normally busy street to take my shot. This photo was taken with my Canon digital SLR EOS 30D.

I love the wide angle>> it seems to be that the street is not that busy…

Nice “catch” of light in the upper corner. It’s a small enough area of the photo that it adds a subtle touch.
