Toronto, The Beach

I took this photo two weeks ago on a hot, humid and somewhat rainy Sunday afternoon at the beach. It had rained for at least three hours, but had cleared when I took this shot.

Isn’t our Toronto Beach area lovely?

it looks a little chilly — but the sand looks groomed. Machine???

Oh no it wasn’t chilly it’s just the lighting since it was late afternoon and had been raining a good portion of the afternoon. It had only cleared up about a half hour before I took that photo. I think it was at least 30 Celsius (88 F) and humid that day!

The sand isn’t groomed either. At least not at that point. Perhaps the city does groom the sand in the morning but as I said that was late afternoon after a lot of use. If you click on the photo you can see a larger image on flickr (click all sizes). You’ll see that there are hundreds or thousands of footprints, bike and stroller wheel marks, bird and dog foot prints all over the sand.

    Thanks for your visit!
