DSC01861

Enough with snow and frigid weather already! Geesh!

Are you as tired of winter as I am? It’s -23 Celsius with the wind chill here in Toronto today. That’s -8 F if you don’t know the metric system. Cold huh?

It’s no wonder that I decided to post a photo of a lovely tulip that I grew in my garden last year.

I couldn’t help taking tons of photos of these tulips last year. The fiery orange just captured me and drew me in. Every time I visited my garden with camera in hand I was sure to photograph this tulip. Isn’t it lovely? Doesn’t it draw you in as well?

That is a beautiful image! I have never seen a tulip with the fringed edges on the petals like that before. I have only seen the ones with the smooth petal tops in the past.

Where I am, it feels not only like spring, but almost like summer in many respects. Don’t hate us because we are warm most of the year in Florida.

Hmmm, spring is nice, summer is nice. I was in Hawaii last month and it was painful to come home. I want to move to a warmer climate…

    Truly great picture.
I like the way the orange changes into the darker red.
The texture on the outside of the flower really pulls it together.
