Scabiosa or Pincushion flower 2

This flower is known as Scabiosa or more commonly a Pincushion flower.

I thought mine had died out, but to my surprise several of these lovely flowers started coming up in my front flower bed this year. The petal pattern is lovely when viewed from above isn’t it?

It’s shots like this that really cause us to stop and look around occasionally, it’s simply amazing as to what can pass us by most of the time.

Beautiful! I don’t think I’ve ever see a flower quite like it! Amazing photography, love the blurred out background, it really makes the flower stand out.

Wow absolutely beautiful! You are a wonderful photographer (I assume you took the picture if they were in your flower bed.)
