I took this photo in September when the mums were in full bloom. Aren’t they lovely?

I used to not really like mums, not until I had a garden of my own anyway. They do make a nice fall flower as they add some color to the garden as most of the other plants begin to wind down (bloom wise) for the year.

Do you enjoy mums?

I’ve left them in and they come back next year — but you have to trim them at a certain time or they are leggy –

Not complaining – just saying I can’t be trusted to trim them at the right time.

Very nice picture of the mums. What kind of lens did you use for that? Im suprised a flower can bloom like that this time of year.

I love the handful of torn petals makes it so natural.
