Sumac leaves turn red in Autumn and they develop fruit or seedpods that look like the one above. I think they’re kind of pretty. Especially when there is a large group of Sumac with their red leaves and fruit seedpods on display.
Spring cleaning in the garden
Now that the snow finally melted in the garden and our yard it’s time to get outside and clean up the garden.
There’s lots of dead foliage from last fall to cut down or remove.
The above photo is of a Crocosmia seedpod. I actually took the photo in the fall. The seeds wouldn’t have stayed in the pod this long! Not with the wind we have here in Toronto.
