If you're worried about it not going well make sure you backup ALL of your files and databases first, then if you don't want to try the instant upgrade, do a manual upgrade. There's instructions on the Wordpress site as to how to do a manual update. In fact I usually update manually. Good Luck! If it hadn't I'm sure the site would be messed up and as far as I know it looks ok in all browsers? Next step is to upgrade to 2.5 but I'm waiting for some plugins to be upgraded first.
