I’ve been tagged! Twice- with the same tag! Erin from Pupsicle was first, then Ladyee-M from Loving Nothing got me this afternoon. I’m not really big on Meme’s but I’ll play. Erin played before when I tagged her, and uh Ladyee-M … I’ll get you back when your not expecting it. 🙂
The rules-
1. Go write weird facts/things/etc. about yourself in my comment box and on your site, then tag six more people!
2. Then leave a comment that says ‘You are tagged’ in their comments telling them to read your site.
Let’s see, who am I going to tag for this? If these lovely people do tags- Shelly, Ed, D. Challener,Matt (my last renter on Odd Planet), Chatty (my current renter- go see her, this is her last day!), and Lydia because she gave me my first tag! Oh and what the heck- maybe Amy will play too.
My Weird Facts:
1. My neighbor often speaks to me in Greek and I understand most of what she says to me- even though I don’t speak a word of Greek.
2. I almost always save whatever favorite food that happens to be on my plate for last. I’m a slow eater most of the time so this usually means I’m eating my favorite food lukewarm or even cold.
3. I’m left handed, but since it’s a right handed world I can do almost everything I need to do with my right hand almost as well as I can with my left.
4. I’m tall- 5′ 11″ and my hubby is kind of short- 5′ 3 3/4″ (can’t forget the 3/4″ ‘s!)
5. I hate going to sleep! Once I’m asleep I like it just fine … but making myself go to bed in order to sleep is difficult. I’d rather stay up and not miss anything.
6. On Thursday I spent 6 hours in the garden pruning roses, loosening dirt and uncovering plants, Friday 7 hours, and today 5 hours. I think I might be OBSESSED with my garden. The hard work is done for a few weeks though, and I got a lot of exercise and fresh air. Oh and I’ve never heard anyone else use the term “extreme gardening” even though there are many who likely fall into that category, so I think I might have actually created a new expression.
7. A few years ago I spent over 15 hours planting roses in my garden and ended up ripping my posterior tibial tendon (tendon that runs along outside mid-calf, across outer ankle and attaches onto the bottom of the foot) and didn’t even realize it until the next day. I thought I had a blister at first but couldn’t find it. The injury took close to a year to heal- it was bad.
8. See above- I have a very high pain tolerance, especially when my mind is occupied.
9. I love reptiles. My other two very large sites are about various reptiles and their care. The most reptiles I’ve had at one time were two box turtles, 1 very large iguana, 6 water dragons and two golden geckos. Hubby is afraid of snakes so we don’t keep them.
10. I’m on my third career. I’ve been a Jeweler, Make-up artist, and now I’m a Nurse. Yeah- those three things naturally follow each other, don’t they?
Other than that, there is nothing else the least bit weird about me. I’m perfectly normal … or so I’d like you to think.

Paybacks, Tricia — you know what they say about those! 🙂 I’ll do it, but I may not get a chance to post until after Easter dinner.

So that’s you up here in the clouds with me, lol! I’m 5′ 10″ and have been since I was a teenager so you can imagine all of the names I was called (I hope you were spared the same torture!)

Well Tricia, I don’t really participate in many memes, or chains. But I’m always happy to find out that someone reads my blog, so as not to be a spoilsport I’ll play along, at least in part. That is, I’ll post my response here…
10 weird facts…

Now Tricia, no one says you’re weird. As far as you know. 🙂

Hey Tricia,
Thanks for thinking of me! I’ll participate to a point….Not really into tags, but as a courtesy, here are my Ten weird things:
1. I prefer most hot foods leftover cold the next day. Especially Pizza and Chinese.
2. Two of my brothers were ballboys for the Detroit Pistons for Five Years Each.
3. I got to raise the Stanley Cup Trophy over my head, as if I would ever be a Stanley Cup Champion
4. Inexplicably, I enjoy most chick flicks–especially anything with Reese Witherspoon. Okay, maybe that’s not so inexplicable.
5. I’ve lived in Columbus for three years, but have never ventured downtown.
6. I haven’t been Up North to our home in Charlevoix on Lake Michigan for three years, and I believe that Lake Michigan misses me.
7. When skipping stones in a river, I always ask the River Gods if it’s okay.
8. Every year I get an inexplicable craving to eat a favorite candy that I loved when I was a kid. Right now I’m in a Peanut M&M rut, and it’s not hleping my attempts at dieting.
9. I love driving on high mountain roads with major dropoffs and views, but I’m scared to death of flying in a plane, although flying is undeniably safer.
10. I buy lots of flower seeds to create the perfect garden every spring, but rarely do I ever plant them.

Tricia, I have been wanting to do a 101 things list on my site…I am going to use this as my start!
1. I was born with a dislocated hip and had to wear this weird diaper brace thing until I was a year old so my ass looks HUGE in all of my baby pictures
2. I can play pool with either hand because a left handed pool player initially taught me the game
3. I hate the cold (I mean REALLY hate it) yet I am from Michigan and unltimately settled down in Minnesota
4. Every time I post on my site I have to call my husband or a friend to quick read it and tell me if I am making a fool out of myself
5. I was an exchange student to Chile when I was a junior in high school
6. The Creep was OP (face up) and had a big head so I ended up with an unplanned c-section after many many hours of labor
7. I have a 10″ x 6″ spot on my stomach that is permanently numb because the nerves were cut during the procedure
8. I feel vaguely guilty about calling my son The Creep and my mother isn’t helping any
9. I have a tatoo on my stomach that used to be a two headed parrot but is now, sadly, a bird shaped blobby blur
and
10. I want to be cremated so I don’t come back as a zombie
damn, that was hard…maybe I should just do 11 things.
