Thirteen Things about Life’s Simple Pleasures
Cat over at Living with Multiple Personalities tagged me yesterday, so I thought I’d combine her Simple Pleasures Meme with this Thursday 13. I’m not going to tag anyone this time, but if you feel like playing just make a post naming some of life’s simple pleasures that you enjoy most:
Simple Pleasures:
1…. Those first warm spring days and the promise of summer to come.
2…. Walking in the rain on a warm day without a care in the world, just enjoying the feeling, the smell and sound of the rain.
3…. The first snow fall, and the feel of snow flakes as they land on your face and melt.
4…. The brilliant colours of Autumn leaves while they’re still on the trees.
5…. The feel of the sun as it warms my skin on a beautiful day.
6…. The sight of rolling hills, valleys, mountains. I come from an area with astounding natural beauty and I miss those hills and valleys dearly now that I live in such a flat area.
7…. Chocolate, melting slowly, delicious.
8…. Being awake early when all is quiet, watching the sunrise and feeling the first warm rays of the sun.
9…. The sound of laughter, be it from a child or adult. Laughter is infectious and you can’t help but join in.
10…. Rainbows in the sky after a rainstorm. They are always so magical.
11…. Enjoying the sunset, sitting on my porch or in the backyard with my husband. Watching the sky turn purple, then pink, then red.
12…. The look in my husbands eyes every time he sees me.
13…. My husbands warmth. His warm hands and body, so nice when I need warming.

A beautiful list! I love the way the air smells after it rains at the lake. So fresh and lovely.
If you don’t paint, you should. I never saw such beauty until I began painting. It takes special eyes.

Oh my gosh that’s a great TT. I love everyone of those pleasures that you mentioned. I like to sit out on our patio at night with my husband and watch the stars.

That is a great list. I especially like #2. It started to rain softly on me this morning while I was walking & it was nice. 🙂
I love the colors in autumn and the first snow fall too. The world looks like a crystal palace right after the first snowfall.

Your #8 reminded me of a vacation we took – our room had sunrise views and a wall of sliding glass doors. I woke up early every morning and felt like I’d slept an extra 2 hours after watching the sun come up! Amazing, isn’t it?
I really love your list! I can’t totally relate to #1 because all summer here in the desert is just hot. And we don’t look forward to it…lol! But I know it’s wonderful other places, so I do get it! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Oh, what a lovely list. Sometimes when I get to feeling all crappy and unhappy, I make lists like this for myself and it helps ground me and remind me that I have some really nice things in my life and I am so thankful for them all.

i’m always a day or so behind in visiting those who come to my t13… probably why i dont get as many readers as i used too! but, nonetheless, i love your list! i think you nailed every single simple pleasure there is… and if i had to rank them in order of preference, i dont think i could… with the exception of the husband one’s being first.. but the others are all right on target!
This list is so great because it really made me think about all the small stuff that is really great in my life. I’ve been sick with a cold the past two days and its easy to get a bad attitude in that situation. Your list really helped snap me out of that. Thanks
I love Autumn too, but don’t see much of it anymore now that I live in FLA.

I especially like Number 6. Florida is nice, but whenever I am in another state I am reminded of how much I like rollling hills.

Autumn is my absolute favourite season. The colours, the smell, the seasonal food. So many pleasures 🙂
Folding Sliding Doors Guru – I love autumn as well. The only thing I don’t like is when it gets too cool! Last night it went down to 1 Celsius! Just above freezing! To me that’s winter temps!
