Todays Green Thumb entry is a perennial plant called Maltese Cross:
This photo was taken earlier this year in late May or early June when the Maltese cross was first blooming. I’ve just discovered that the plant has started it’s second bloom phase. I think this second bloom phase might be a little early, perhaps I’ll get blooms three times this year?
Gardeners, Plant and Nature lovers can join in every Sunday, visit As the Garden Grows for more information.

I think with this abnormal heat we all seem to be having that the plants are really digging on it! Very pretty color you have there!

Looks so much like a geranium…the flower that is, not the leaves. So how much are you into flowers? Gardening? Just nosey. I don’t want to start spoutin’ stuff sounding like some master gardner when you might be one. LOL
I’m just a curious, organically oriented putterer. I putter in a veggie garden, I putter in my flower garden. I read alot. I have a rainbarrel and I use a tremendous amout of compost. I am anti-Miracle Gro. Anti-pesticides/herbicide and fungicide.
Okay…don’t want to scare anyone off!
