So peaceful!

That goose really look up to you 😉
You know The Canadian Goose has spread too much in this country and despite the fact that I really love birds, I don’t love that fact, because they’re lit(t)erally shitting down the whole places, beaches and everything.
It’s not good when it becomes too much of a thing that wasn’t belonging to our nature in the beginning. It became a problem over here sadly enough.
Lifecruiser – sounds like the geese have your dander up. They are a problem here too. They don’t seem to migrate anymore so we have them all year round. We have too many and yes they poop at lot. I’ve heard that it’s every two minutes!
Fab you know I’m punny.
Dr. Mom – yeah, we have too many, want some?
Kdubs- not as peaceful as you might think. You only see one in the photo, but we were surrounded by at least 100 ducks and geese. Plus seagulls and pigeons too. LOL
If you like these photos, I have a nice picture of ducks in the water near some moss covered rocks on my photoblog breath of life: http://www.feverishthoughts.com/photo/

Happy Wednesday!
The Foosays
aahhh the canadian geese… they’ll not be too bad if they don’t make a mess everywhere – especially on the golf course where I am play. nothing beats trying to get the golf ball out of some imported duck poop.
nice pics though! happy WW!

I am hearing snow tomorrow on the forcast!

Bethsays
Nice picture! My mom and her man-friend had, what they concluded, were two Canadian Geese vacation on their lake last weekend. Every once in a while geese will fly in, spend a few days eating and then leave. If I ever get my digital camera I’ll try to snag a pic the next time I see one.

I don’t think we get Canadian geese down here. That water looks cold!
Babs -nope, that pic was taken near the beginning of September and the water would have been a tolerable temperature. They don’t seem to mind the cool water though do they?
Lynn- how dare you say snow! You’re not too far from me and we aren’t supposed to get snow! Actually I don’t expect any for at least another month. BTW Blogrollings been down on and off so that’s why the blogroll looked funky.
Mixednut ???
Beth sure gets some digital pics. Canadian geese are pretty easy to identify.
The Foo – Yep I totally agree about goose poo. I love going for walks in parks and by our beautiful lake but I hate having to constantly watch where I’m walking where there’s geese around. Poo poo everywhere!
Thanks Jodi!
I’m sorry I didn’t get to most of the WW’s out there today. I had an MRI in the evening and I was nervous about it all day!
D. B. Coopersays
‘fowling the water’… you quack me up.
I don’t belief I just did that. Way to make a first impression huh?

I am thinking of doing some nature shots around Calgary, what would you recommend?

I love Canadian Geese. In the spring, we have this sod field that they love because there is a creek that runs through it and there are hundreds of them. I love to drive by there and watch when the goslings hatch. I swear that they have “classes” for swimming and other things. You can watch as one or two older geese lead all the goslings in some sort of thing and then sometimes they are just honking away at them. One other thing, they mate for life. I once saw a goose on the side of the road, standing over another goose that had been hit by a car. It was the saddest thing. Okay, clearly I have too much time on my hands. LOL
