I’m still feeling totally awful. I can’t believe it. I’ve gotten into a bad sleep cycle and I’m sleeping during the day because my pain is keeping me up at night. I’m sure that this isn’t helping at all.
I feel so dragged out and I’ve got a pain in my abdomen that’s been relentless for the last three days or so. It’s a cross between a fist and a knife jabbing my right side.
I feel exhausted but I can’t sleep. I mentioned in an earlier post that maybe I could help myself get better if I just knocked myself out for a few days. That idea has become more and more appealing.
I think I might just do the bare minimum of blogging over the next few days, so if you don’t hear from me after you’ve written to me with a question please don’t think I’m ignoring you. I just need to try to rest and to try to feel better.

I hope you feel better soon. Maybe you need to get checked by a doctor. 3 days is a long time to deal with pain like that.

I go thru a bad week during my cycle each month, but even that doesn’t sound this bad. ~hugs~ I hope it eases up for you.

Being a nurse, I’m probably telling you the obvious, but have you checked for endometriosis?
Otherwise, I find that a hot water bottle and taking painkillers *before* the cramps start are the way to go. Hope you feel better!

Maybe my use of the wording “Bad Cycle” had all of you thinking I’m having a bad period. I meant a bad sleep cycle that’s affecting my health since I’m already sick.
I have Crohn’s disease and I filled this post under my Inflammatory bowel disease category. It’s the Crohn’s that’s causing me so much pain. I’ve been in a bad flare for over two years. I am seeing doctors – I actually have a doctors appointment on average once a week. 🙁
I’ve just been going further downhill over the last month or so. Everyday is worse than the one before it.
Thank you for your concern and suggestions though. I appreciate it.

Get some rest. It is no fun being sick.

Pains in my side make me think alternatively of fibroid tumors and of kidney stones. I had one that started in my upper back, moved down to my right side and then towards the front last week over a period of 3 days. That’s when I figured it was a stone on the move. I drank water like nobody’s business for a day and eventually the pain eased up. Somewhere along the line I think I passed a stone. But, when I get a nagging ache that just won’t go away that’s when I start drinking more water. They say to flush a stone a person should be drinking 12 glasses a day.
