I’m trying to decide what to do for Tricia’s Musings first birthday. Should I hold a blog party on Sunday?

Ok, so if you’re coming to the party it will start right at midnight EST Sunday January 21st. Tricia’s Musings will be one year old on that day so if you’re bringing gifts with you please make them age appropriate.
Some hints on the types of gifts that you might bring Tricia’s Musings:
Tricia’s Musings loves having fun and enjoys nothing more than a good laugh. Musings also enjoys photos of nature and just anything that could be considered drop dead gorgeous (that includes nice looking men of course!). I’ll leave it up to your imagination because I know that you all have vivid imaginations. Surprise me ok?
It’s going to be a pot luck party. Tricia will be serving Chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate, chocolate ice cream and chocolate cake. There will also be bowls of fresh fruit and veggie trays with ranch dip. Notice the chocolate theme- that’s a hint if I ever did see one.
Now, you know Tricia’s Musings is located in the Great White North don’t ya?
Yes, the Mackenzie brothers, Bob and Doug, have promised to make an appearance so I guess I’d better make sure we have lots of good Canadian beer on hand. Oh and the guys from Rush should drop by to entertain us too.

However, one reason why I wanted you to know that this party is in the Great White North is because I’ve gone to a lot of work to change my garden into an icy party palace:
And of course you can’t have an ice garden party without an ice bar!

I know that some of you come from warm climates. Don’t worry, the party will be indoors and out. Of course the bar is going to be outside so you can enjoy your vodka and other drinks nice and cool, but feel free to come back inside to warm up.
So bring warm clothes. Maybe we’ll hold a contest to see who wins for best fashion parka. But don’t forget to bring your bathing suits too! We rented a Hot Tub that you can dip into as well.
Ok what am I missing – we’ve got a band, entertainment, booze, of course we’ll also have juice, water and soft drinks like coke, Pepsi, ginger ale (Canada Dry of course!) root beer, orange, cream soda, and grape, an ice bar, and ice garden and a hot tub. Plus hopefully my guest will bring some food and drink as well.
Chris, my husband will bring out his guitars and our keyboard and we’ll have some of his music plus maybe a sing along too.
Is there anything else we need before the party starts?
If you’re coming to the party please tell us how you first discovered Tricia’s Musings and how long ago that was. Oh and feel free to bring stories, photos or video of Tricia or Tricia’s musings doing embarrassing things. Tricia’s going to be well medicated at the party so she won’t mind.
Update: wow, it’s been a great party! Hugh Laurie is streaking through the garden, Rush is still playing and the Bare Naked Ladies are entertaining the crowd inside the house too. A few people have been here all day and they’ve been drinking all day too, so now we have people dancing on the ice bar and diving into the Hot tub! It’s been fun!

I do hope the hot tub is big enough… And that there is enough with the drinks. That Absolut Vodka is from Sweden you know and we drink that as water since we were born 😉

Mrs. Lifecruiser – Oh yes there’s plenty of icy cold vodka for those that enjoy it. There’s actually an ice vodka fountain in the ice garden.
Oh and thank for the wonderful Chocolate creation! Is it all for me or do I have to share it? LOL Yummy!
Julie- Ok we’ll have some karaoke too, but if my Karaoke neighbors show up we’ll have to pretend the machine just broke. Ok? Cause believe me, you do not want to hear them sing!

Ok so where’s everyone else that said they were showing up? Don’t let the ice garden scare you. There’s a nice cozy fireplace inside the house, and don’t forget the hot tub!
Ok I’m off to put out all the goodies and to have a glass of that glorious champagne that Mrs. Lifecruiser brought over. Mmmmm bubbles!

Happy 1st Purrrthday! Will you be serving sushi or shrimp-tinis at your party? Do you allow catnip? The chocolate fountain looks yummy but chocolate’s not good fur us. Sounds like a fun party!
Happy anniversary Tricia ! I have two problems : 1. I have no idea what time it would be here at midnight EST . So I just come by now (here in Belgium it’s 7.30 am) and then I really don’t know how this works. (I already tried with Mrs. Lifecruiser) but I will stop by again late afternoon to see what happens. Have a lot of fun !!

Kimo and Sabi Oh yes I forgot to mention that there’s plenty of seafood. Shrimp for dipping, shrimp for fancy shrimptinis and Cesaers, Smoked Salmon and raw oysters too. Enjoy!
Gattina – Just come back and mingle with my other guests here in the ice garden when you can. There’s usually some antics at blog parties, someone always ends up dancing on a table or wearing a lamp shade. I’m sure that if Fab show’s up he’ll do something silly!

I’ll dig out my fleeced tux and drag Hugh Laurie along too. We will try to be well behaved but I promise nothing. It is common for him to streak at parties, so have your camera primed. I will provide some Malt Whisky for your guests and of course, Haggis.

One thing about the Lifecruisers, they always know when and where there’s a good paaaarrrrrttttttyyy! As usuall they’ve brought the Dom and there’s Absolute and did I hear someone mention sushi? And Bob and Doug, aye? Well this is my kind of party and oh yes, did I mention I’m bring the beagle sisters? Mrs L posted a pic of Stella, who can’t seem to hold her liquor, at the October party.

Happy Anniversary Tricia! Nice ice garden party. I was originally going to wear my strapless red satin evening gown with a tiara, but I think I’d freeze. So I’m pulling out my brown and black parka, heavy boots and gloves and heading north to my favorite non-U.S. country: Canada.
Are you serving Clamato juice and chips? If not, I’ll just take a diet coke please.

Shelley It seems to be snowing everywhere! It’s even snowing here right now … there’s still some partiers but after 24 hours of table hopping and dancing on the bar and uh … STREAKING! the party is beginning to wind down.
Teena Oh yeah Bob and Doug have been here all along. They’re sitting over in the corner of the ice garden entertaining everyone with stories of the Great White North and handing out beers. They made a couch out of beer cases! Can you believe that?
