This is a January picture of Toronto’s famous beach boardwalk. The tree’s bare, leafless and waiting for spring. The boardwalk – sunny on a beautiful winter day with a few brave souls daring to come out and explore the beauty of the lake on this cool day.
If anything, that bright winter day was probably nicer than today – a Spring day, is supposed to be. It will be cold and rainy. We might even get some snow.
Much of Europe is unusually warm, and so is western Canada. Why isn’t it warming up here? I want to see my spring flowers bloom.

There is nothing blooming in my Canadian garden on Green Thumb Sunday. But I do have blooms … couldn’t resist buying some pansies to brighten up the deck.

Oh, no, poor you no warm weather at all?! We finally got it over here, I also thought that everybody else got it before us, both countries around us, Norway and Finland had warmer than we.
I hope it will last and you’ll get some too. We want no more cold!
We need some rain though before the plants can start to grow 🙂

I visited Toronto many years ago. It was warm then, and saw Ontario Place.

Hehe.. I would half expect a comment from Al Gore on the subject by the end of the day 🙂
It has been cold and rainy/snowy across the center of the US and there have been tornadoes in the southwest. I guess this is where we pay for a late winter in the States!

Tricia, I love the boardwalk, and love the lighting in this photograph. Spring is on its way!

Did not even know that Toronto had a famous boardwalk. I guess we’ll need to check it out in June!

The photo is lovely and captures the barren look of winter well. Hope you get some spring soon, though! I’m guessing the cold is getting pretty tedious by now!
Here for GTS, of course!

That is a lovely picture. It has just warmed up here … as of Friday. Before that, we had weeks and weeks of -10c and colder. Spring took forever to get here too … when you speak of western Canada, you must be talking of BC. Alberta has been pretty chilly too.
I hope that the east does warm up though … we need spring!!!
