What am I doing inside?

April 20, 2007 by Tricia

I think this might be the warmest day we’ve had in months, certainly it’s the warmest day this month. It’s currently 21 Celsius outside. That’s 69.8 F for my non metric readers. An hour or two ago I noticed that the little weather symbol on my computer was saying it was 23 C (73.4 F).

If memory serves me correctly I think we had some days close to this in December and January. That was unusual for that time of year around here. These temperatures aren’t that unusual for April here, but they sure are appreciated since the rest of this month has been cooler than normal.

I’m still not feeling all that great so I guess I can use that as my excuse for not going out. I really do have to get some gardening done though. The whole weekend is supposed to be nice like this so maybe I’ll get outside and do some work. I’ve got to get out to at least enjoy this great weather.

I know, maybe we’ll have a barbecue this evening. I’d better go see what we have to put on the grill.

Have any of you had a nice change in the weather?

    Hi Tricia
We’ve also had an odd winter where in February we were seeing 70’s and then a cold front moved through a few weeks ago with more snow–We’re finally warming up, but still no green on the trees and the grass really isn’t sure what to do yet.

I hope you do feel well enough to enjoy the outdoors. Let me know what’s on the grill!

I might come up! Last night, I had a Subway (hoagie) sandwich for my birthday dinner between baseball, softball, and hockey games.

    Oh well!

[whine] It’s cold and rainy here in Arizona today, whimper, whimper but it’s supposed to be 32° C / 90 F by Thursday. [/whine]

Adzana – Aw come on … it’s not like you have freezing cold winters like we do. LOL

It was a great weekend here. I think it got to 27 Celsius on Sunday. That’s pretty good for April. Our Aprils usually have something like 150 hours of sunshine but up until Friday we’d only had something like 30 hours of sun … yeah, that’s how cloudy, dark, dismal and rainy the months been so far … so it’s wonderful that the sun is out and it’s getting warmer!
