Do you ever watch that new show Raines? It’s about a detective, played by Jeff Goldblum, that solves cases by visualizing the victims and talking to them as he works on the clues to their murder? It’s kind of like he’s talking to ghosts throughout the show.
I find the show really strange. I’m watching what I think is the third episode right now. I copied it. I think it’s usually on on Fridays. I didn’t really like the first episode, the second one was better and so far this is the best of all. Maybe it will get better over time but it’s still a different kind of show.
I was just wondering what you guys thought of this show.

I love the show! I wrote a short thing here with a link to watch an ep: http://www.brianjhong.com/?q=/node/82
It’s been getting better recently, the last two episodes were more dramatic than usual. It usually takes me 5 or 6 episodes for probably the writers to get in the hang of it and for me to get a feel for the characters. I really enjoy it but maybe because i’m kind of crazy myself. 🙂 It’s very film noir.

I seriously cannot figure out if I love it or hate it. I DVR it without fail, but I feel oddly non-committed as I watch it. I love Jeff Goldblum. I find him oddly sexy and compellingly witty, but I can’t shake the idea that he’s playing not Raines, but just good old Jeff.

I discovered this blog entry while looking for something else, and I’m really disappointed that I didn’t watch that TV show.
I remember Jeff Goldblum as a psychic in the old movie, Vibes. He did a great job of representing what some psychics are like when they’re working.
I’ll have to look for re-runs of this show. It sounds like it was fun.
Thanks for posting about it… even if I didn’t find this entry soon enough!
