Well our computer power supply was delivered yesterday morning. I was still in bed when it arrived, so Chris, being home on his day off decided to install it into our desktop computer.
Yeah, it seems to work ok. There’s only one problem. When we start the computer it comes up with an error message telling us to press F1 to configure the computer or F2 to ignore and continue loading windows. Like I said it’s working fine, but obviously if it’s giving an error message when we start the computer there’s something wrong.
Chris didn’t look at the computer again yesterday because I was on it most of the time, but we’ll take another look at it later today and make sure that everything is connected securely. The man who sold us the part suggested that the connections might not be secure and we’d already thought of that.
Anyone else have any ideas? It’s a new replacement power supply for an HP desktop computer.
Update – we tried all the connectors and it still comes up as an error. It doesn’t want to load drive A so we’ve just disabled that drive for now. Otherwise it’s working fine. Fingers crossed.
