Yesterday when Chris came home from work he was wearing a brand new pair of sunglasses. A really nice pair of motorcycle sunglasses actually.
It turns out that one of the patients he helped care for in the OR Recovery yesterday sells sunglasses and he was so impressed with Chris and how friendly and helpful he was that the man just gave him the sunglasses as a present!
I must admit when I first saw the sunglasses that I thought Chris might have picked them up accidentally … you know like he does with my pens and other things that I can’t leave out without them going missing.
It’s actually great that Chris has an extra pair of sunglasses. He often loses his, so if we tuck these away and just wait a few weeks I’m sure he’ll need them.

Tricia…just found your blog via the FOLLOW LIST POST from April. I noticed that your header mentions that you’re a nurse. My 16 year old daughter wants to be a nurse. I hope that she can be. Just thought that I’d comment as I’m passing by.

That’s a super gift to have. Very handy.

David I’ve found that a nursing career has been very rewarding. The pay could be better for what we go through but I like knowing I’ve helped someone every time I work. We need more nurses, hopefully your daughter does go on to become one. 🙂
Thanks for visiting!
