Our camouflage vine

This is my Dropmore Scarlet Honey Suckle vine. It’s huge and hardy.

We have an eye sore of a guide wire in the back of our yard. I guess it’s an anchor wire for the electric pole in our other neighbors yard. To hide this terrible wire we’ve tried growing a variety of vines on the wire. So far it seems that the Dropmore Scarlet Honey Suckle has been the most successful.

It’s very hardy so it came right back after our winter. That’s so nice since the vine is very exposed throughout or cold winter.

Do you use vines or plants in your yard to hide eye sores?

That takes me down memory lane: my grandma had honeysuckle at a corner of her house, and I remember picking them and sucking the sweet sap out of them.

A good idea for a camouflage! Flowers are our best friends in such situation! When you want a new vision they offer to us the best!

I’ve read on another garden site that these are aphid magnets–do you have any trouble with them???

    Your reply is appreciated!!!!
