My brown eyed susans are still blooming. They aren’t looking quite as nice as the ones in this photo which was taken in early August, but they are still blooming.
Do you grow Brown eyed susan? (rudbeckia) Each year I have to pull out a number of plants as they spread very easily in my garden. I suppose some of the spread is related to reseeding themselves, but most of the spread that I’ve noticed is from underground roots growing outward. New plants come up on these roots and I end up pulling out quite a few each year as a result.

Beautiful macro picture! I don’t think I’ve seen these flowers but I’m sure they grow in Norway too!
From the collar of the flower: do we see fall season coming up?

I think fall is well and truly upon us. The forests around us in France are already beginning to turn golden.

You have so many good plants, Tricia. There must be quite a variety.

I’ve never grown them, but do have some seeds. Maybe this will be the year. Beautiful photo.

Brown-eyed Susans, Daisies and Sunflowers are my three favorite flowers. I wish I could grow them. However, I’m lucky to keep a self-sufficient plant alive. 😀

Hi! Nice pictures. My parents are growing the same flowers as those in the photo. I didn’t know how they were called… and yes, they spread so easily… I love these flowers, their color is so bright and cheering!
Cheers!
