Wordless Wednesday
This rose is called Compte de Chambord. It has a long history and I believe it was one of the rose species that was commonly used to make rose perfume due to it’s lovely rose scent.
I like the effect I managed to get in this shot. There are two roses in the photo, but because they were just moving slightly due to a light breeze it almost looks like a mirror effect – doesn’t it?

That’s a great shot. i love the crispness and detail in the center of the photo and how it loses focus towards the edges. very artistic.

I love it! I wish I could grow flowers like that, but unfortunalty I did not inheret my mother’s greenthumb and I live in Arizona so that doesn’t help.

It does look like a mirror affect. So peaceful to look at. Thanks for sharing this with me.

I am ashamed to admit that I had to look at the picture to know what an antique rose looks like. My husband does all of the gardening, as I have a black thumb. I do enjoy admiring the finished product, though, so as long as I’m appreciative, he loves doing and doesn’t mind that I have no clue what any of the flowers are.
