November 27, 2008 by Tricia

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends and readers! I hope that you are enjoying this day and are having a great meal! I’m sure many of you are stuffed full of turkey! (mmmm Turkey!)

I got an email last night from eCost and they are having some amazing Black Friday sales! I mean, how would you like to get a Nintendo Wii for only $99? See what I mean by amazing deals? That Wii would make a great Christmas gift wouldn’t it, and at that price it wouldn’t break your budget either!

Here’s what the eCOST newsletter said:

*Please note that the Nintendo Wii ($99) and Navigon ($29) are available in limited quantity.

Oh and don’t think that you have to live in the US to take advantage of these amazing deals. eCOST ships worldwide!

I don’t think I’ve ever put so many sales links in one post before … but they just have some great deals. I couldn’t help it! Besides, wouldn’t you rather shop online rather than staying up all night waiting outside a store waiting for it to open in the morning to get at all those big sales. I mean, you can shop and get bargains while in the comfort of your home. Forget the crowds!

Last year I got up at 4:30 to go to our local Wal-Mart for the Friday sale. There are no prices low enough for me to do that again. At a few minutes before 5:00 the parking lot was full, and people were jostling each other and some were very rude.

Richies I can barely stand to go into a Walmart on a normal non-sale day! It’s ALWAYS crowded! So yeah … I’m like you, I avoid overcrowded malls and stores whenever I can. I don’t shop online all that much, but it’s nice to have that as an alternative.

I heard that Black Friday was one of the worst results for retail store in decades. Apparently in Long Beach a guard was trampled to death by bargain hunters! City retailers were ghost shops.

This year we went out on Fri for the 1st time. Huge crouds everyone pushing at 5am. I knew something was wrong when at 4:30am as we were pulling down the drive I felt like I was late….Never again.

🙂 I was one of the lucky ones to get the Wii for $99. It was the most exciting time of 2008 for me 🙂
