My husband has wanted a decent electric shaver for years. He had one that he was using for oh, about the last decade, but it finally broke sometime over the summer. Since then he’s just been using a razor to shave.
The trouble is my husband could grow a beard in about two days, which of course means he could easily shave twice a day if he really wanted a smooth clean shaven look all the time.
I know it’s a little late, but I think that I might try to get him an electric shaver for Christmas. If I don’t manage to get one for him before Christmas I could always take advantage of boxing day sales or a New Year’s sale I suppose.
The problem? I have absolutely no idea which electric shaver he’d like best. I’d like to get him a well made electric shaver that will last for years.
Do any of my male readers or their spouses have any suggestions? Which brand and or model is best?
I spent a bit of time today looking at electric shavers on the internet and the brands I’m most familiar with are Braun and Phillips. The Philips Norelco 1060 arcitec Mens Shaver and Accessory Kit caught my eye. If my husband ever decides to grow his goatee back he can use the tube trimmer to shape it.
Anyone use the Philips Norelco shaver? I’d love to hear your opinion of it or any other brands. Perhaps with your help I can get my husband a Christmas gift that he really wants.

I quit using electric shavers years ago. They don’t give me a close enough shave. My suggestion is to get a good normal razor. I use the Gillette Fusion and the Schick Quattro Titanium. Now when I mentioned normal razor these are not actually normal razors. They use batteries and vibrate although they look and work the same as normal razors. You can get a great, close and comfortable shave with these. If he gets a good razor, he might not have to shave as often as with the electric shavers.

I’ve used the Gilette one myself.

Im not sure if you bought a shaver or not yet. But I will let you know what I think.
My boyfriend hasthe Braun Pulsonic and he swears by it. He told me that it is the closest shave he has ever had with an electric razor. Also its self cleaning. If you do get him one, make sure its self cleaning.

I also don’t use an electric, however my advice would be to stay with what has worked for him in the past. If he had a Norelco then buy him the current model that most closely resembles his 10-year-old version. I personally love the Gilette Mach 3 Turbo (which is more like a regular razor, but vibrates to ease the drag)

I’m way too late for the party – but thought of just doing a search for recommendations.

The most popular electric shaver manufacturers are Braun and Panasonic. Both are very good, so i will recommend to go either with Braun or panasonic. There are others in the market too but i prefer these, philips i dont like.

I am using Panasonic. It’s easy to use and its chargable.
Howver it’s really costly to change the blades which needs to be changed every 8-12 months for better shaving.

Yah I’m using a braun too. It’s very nice shavers I ever used. The shaver style it can give me a good and nice shave.

probably the best electric shaver you can give now to any husband are the latest released products from philips norelco like PowerTouch or Sensotouch 3d…
