I’ve been really lazy about posting the pictures that I’ve taken lately. I mean really lazy!
I’ve had some pictures on my computer that date back to October that I hadn’t cropped or done anything with, let alone uploaded to my Flickr account!
If you’re a regular reader or if you’ve browsed through my blog you already know that I like to take pictures of my garden, my dog and events that I go to here in Toronto and elsewhere. I often post them when when I blog.
Anyway, I spent some time on the weekend working on my photos and uploaded some of the backlog to my Flickr account. Now they’re ready for posting. Of course I still have to go through my most recent photos ie the ones I’ve taken since my garden started coming back to life in March and get them ready for posting too.
Maybe I’ll spend some time doing that this week or on the weekend. Speaking of the weekend … I think we’re going to have to cut our grass this weekend! I don’t think we’ve ever cut our grass as early as April before! But it’s been green since March and it’s really growing now.
While we’re at it I think it’s about time we put out our patio furniture too! The weathers been beautiful so we might as well get our table and chairs out so that we can enjoy the garden and the beautiful weather in comfort.
Would you like to see some of the pictures that I’ve been holding on to for a while and not posting? Ok, well here’s a few of my beautiful Labrador Retriever Midnight at the beach and lounging at home.
Can you believe that on March 7th we had a day that reached 19 Celsius (66 F)? Yeah, here in Toronto! I know that probably doesn’t sound that warm to those of you who live in warm climates but that’s downright hot for the “Great White North” in March. LOL Well, my brother was visiting from Vancouver and we decided to get outside and enjoy the day so that’s how we ended up taking our dog to Cherry beach.
Here’s a shot of here in action trying to fetch a stick as it lands in the water:
Another action shot as our Lab, Midnight, races into the cold waters of Lake Ontario:
Midnight finally coming back to shore. She’d whine for us to throw a stick or even a rock into the water for her to fetch:
And here’s a picture of Midnight playing with some of her new doggy friends on the beach:
Those Rottweilers were twice as big as here but she got along with them great.
Finally here’s a shot of Midnight in one of my favorite poses. I call it here “My feet smell terrific” position. LOL Does your dog sniff (and chew) it’s own feet too?

Ahhh… yes, the joy of water!!! My former dog loved it too! Midnight looks gorgeous, she really has grown up to a beauty 🙂
About smelling their feet, yeas my dog did that too, when he was really young but not later on. I did too, to be honest (giggles), because they did smell puppy when he was young 🙂

I have just had to have my boxer put down as she had advanced cardiomyopathy. The decision killed me but it was selfish to keep her alive as she was really ill and her organs were shutting down. The house feels so lonely and I really want another dog but feel it is unfair to have another Boxer as we will no doubt compare the new pup to Clay so a Labrador is another option that i am considering.

Midnight is a very beautiful dog. I wish I could be that carefree at the beach. It looks like she has a great time. My dog loves to lay sprawled out in front of the heater instead of sniffing her toes. She’s a bit on the older side, so maybe that’s why.

My daughter has a yellow lab, and she just loves the water. If she is anywhere near water she will be in it.

Oh Midnight is just beautiful. What weather you had for March – we had just a degree lower than that for nearly all of last week and it was so beautiful and warm. My friend just got her new black lab puppy this week. She’s going to call him Ozzie – I can’t wait to see him. He’s been real quiet for the first 2 nights since she brought him home – no wonder – the rest of the litter were never giving him enough sleep as they were all jumping and biting each other so he has peace and quiet in her home – but this morning he started barking when the washing machine went on. I saw one of your commentors spoke about the puppy smell – she was talking about that lovely smell too.

Many dogs can. I had a Siberian Husky when I lived in the mountains but she loved the vacations on the beach. She especially loved dead seals for rolling in and seaweed for some unknown reason.

Dogs are such stress relievers and so much fun to be around with.

Beautiful dogs! My 5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback loves the beach/water now too, but when he was a puppy he hated it. He would never go in water that was more than a foot deep, but now he dives in any chance he can get. He loves running in the sand also.

What a attractive young female she is!
My Rainbow Angel, Holly Belle, loved her Kong. I put peanut dairy disperse in it and that would hold her engaged for a long time. She admired squeaky playthings, too. I overlook her with all my heart.
