Time to get outside and enjoy the day

August 16, 2011 by Tricia

It’s such a beautiful night out tonight. It’s warm and just a little bit humid – but still comfortable enough to enjoy. Of course I can say that easily, having been tucked away inside my air conditioned house most of the day when it was much warmer outside! Now that it’s beginning to cool down I want to get out and enjoy what’s left of the day.

I think that I might throw on some jogging shorts, a pair of Treksta evolution Mid get the dog and go out for a fast paced walk. I can’t jog because of my knee but it’s feeling ok so I think I can go for a good brisk walk with the dog and I’m sure she’ll love getting out.

It will be getting dark in about half an hour so I think I might head towards the Danforth. Maybe Midnight and I will stop for an icecream on the way home. Now that’s a plan!

Do you ever get out and just enjoy a lovely warm evening?

The weather hasn’t been that good here lately we’ve been getting some pretty strong storms in the afternoon’s but a few weeks ago I went up to the mountains right after a rain storm and just enjoyed the fresh air it was so wonderful and the visibility on the top of the mountain was just spectacular. Was totally worth going all the way out there cause its a two hour trip from here.

Just happened upon this post and it got me thinking about how we all appreciate different seasons and climates. Personally, my fave time of year to take an evening stroll is October. But, the eve weather now is my second fave.

Sometimes when I can time my 4yr old twins’ naps just right, then we can take them out for a stroll after dinner. In the summer we like to watch the lightening bugs sparkle, and sometimes walk to a local Italian restaurant that makes fantastic Italian ices. There is something special about taking an evening stroll, compared to the high-energy of a daytime one.

The weather here in Alberta has been great for a change. So we went camping along the foothills of the Rockies and at night we layed back and watched the shooting stars. I love summer, short as it is.
    Thank you.

I’ve been so stressed lately it has been ridiculous. I’ve been trying to re-organize my sleeping schedule since I’ve been unemployed and it still feels like a vacation although it’s extremely… well… it just sucks :-). I’ve been planning on trying to wake up at 7am and take a nice walk to kind of just think about the day. The weather here in LA at that time has been beautiful and it sucks to actually SLEEP at 7AM vs enjoying it.

Argh. Not doing a great job… already 4:18AM here. Oops :-). Nice write-up!
