Strange spam?

February 2, 2007 by Tricia

I’m getting used to having a lot of spam come in each and every day.

For the most part Akismet is catching it all, although I still find that I have some in my moderation list that I have to weed out every now and then.

This week though, I keep getting spam that’s telling me “you’ve got too much spam” or “Delete the spam”.

Spam complaining about too much spam. That’s a new one.

What will they think of next?

What’s going on in Jimi Morrisons Head?

February 1, 2007 by Tricia

I thought that it was about time that I spread a little bit more love throughout the blogesphere, so I’ve decided to tell you about one of my new blogging friends.

I met Jim about two months ago on the Payperp0st Forums. He was new to the forums, I believe, and he had some questions about Payperp0st, and about moving his blogspot blogs over to “Own Domain” locations. I tend to enjoy answering those techy type questions so I helped him out with some answers and before long we were talking on and off through the private message system. Let me tell you right now that Jim is the King of Private Messages!

Jim is catching up to me in the blogging department. He’s got 6 blogs now, and he does a good job at keeping them all current. I thought I’d introduce you to a few of his blogs today, so that you can enjoy his talented writing as well.

One of his blogs is called Jimi Morrison’s Head. No it’s not a fan site about Jim Morrison of the Doors, nor does he have Jim Morrisons head in his freezer. Well, I certainly hope he doesn’t! It’s actually a rather humorous site about the various thoughts that rattle around Jims head from day to day – some of the ideas or things he comes across are obviously good enough to get recycled onto his site.

The blog is similar in some ways to Odd Planet, in that every so often you’ll find a post about dumb people or odd news. One of my favorite posts that I discovered on Jims site is about leprechauns . It’s actually a video, but it’s about town folk who believe they’ve been seeing a leprechaun up in a tree. It’s hilarious. You really must go watch that video!

Another site of Jim’s is called Sir Post A Lot. I love the name of this site because it’s similar to a name I call my husband since he talks so much – Sir talk-a-lot. I think this is an extension of Jimi Morrisons Head as it also contains a lot of humor, and posts about interesting and sometimes unusual items. He’s got a lot of good jokes on that blog, ones I haven’t heard before like the one about the man drinking beer in the bar. Have a look and see if you can find something that gives you a chuckle over there at Sir Post a Lot.

Jim’s last site is fairly new and it’s about how people use the internet. From what I can see Internet. Serious Business takes a humorous point of view as to how people do things on the net. For example, in one recent post he talks about the use of terms like LOL and ROFL and how those terms are starting to be used in face to face conversations. Check the post out and leave him a comment. I’m sure he’d love your thoughts on the use of common internet abbreviations. I think this site will develop into a very helpful blog for both new and advanced internet users.

So why are you guys still here? Go on, visit one of Jim’s great sites and tell him that Tricia sent you.

The Hungry kitty

January 31, 2007 by Tricia

Wordless Wednesday

How the heck did you get in there?

Looks like kitty wanted a snack. I wonder if that meat is a kielbasa sausage? If so, that cats got good taste since that’s usually great tasting. Mmmm.

I wonder how the cat got in there without knocking anything else over.

Can you imagine if your cat jumped in the fridge like that and you didn’t realize it? I don’t open my fridge that much during the day – a bit more in the evening as I go back and forth to get some water or another type of drink, so in my house there’s a good chance that the cat would be in the fridge for a while before I found it.

Back to normal

January 31, 2007 by Tricia

Whatever that is ….

Yesterday I wrote that on Monday I practically had no pain and felt about as normal as I ever have. Unfortunately it didn’t last long. By early Tuesday morning I was waking up in pain and going on from there to have an awful day.

The only good news is that my knees haven’t bothered me too much. So shhhhhh lets not wake up whatever is causing their pain.

I’m still going to be positive about Monday. Maybe the fact that I actually had a good day for the first time in a long long time means something. Maybe I’ll have another good day soon.
