13 favorite TV shows

Thirteen Things about MY FAVORITE TV SHOWS

1…. The Nine – I’ve been enjoying this new show about the lives of nine people and how they interact after they were held hostage for 52 hours during a botched bank robbery.

2…. Six Degrees– I’m still figuring this show out – but it’s about the lives of six New Yorkers who start out slowly, but now, but the fourth episode or so many of their paths have crossed and some have even become friends.

3…. Heros – I’m really enjoying this show. It’s probably the most unlikely show of all, very unrealistic. Again it’s about the lives of strangers who are slowly discovering that they have super powers. One can teleport through time, two brothers can fly, an Artist can paint the future, a police officer can read minds, a single mother develops an alter ego that takes care of her nasty business, and a teenage cheerleader can survive just about any injury.

4…. ER – Yes I still like this show. It’s changed over the years and the main characters have changed, but as an ER nurse I like it.

5…. Grays Anatomy – I enjoy this show a lot. It’s a medical show but it’s more about the personal lives of the interns and it’s fun to watch them interact and mess up their lives over and over again.

6…. Survivor – I still watch this show and I still think the first season was the best ever. Perhaps I keep watching hoping that they’ll come up with something as good as the first season? If I was ever going to be on a reality show I would probably try to get on this one.

7…. CSI – all of them – I think I like the Las Vegas CSI the best, followed by CSI Miami, then the New York CSI. What can I say, I like murder mystery. It’s hard to keep up with all of these shows though – you can burn out on them if you watch too much!

8…. Lost – I think I watch this show because I’m trying to figure out what’s really going on? I love the characters but the plot twists and turns are really out there sometimes. I can’t imagine how or if they are going to tie it all together.

9…. House – I watch this show for Dr House alone. I love his outrageous personality. Medically this show is all wrong .. oh the symptoms and disease often end up being correct in the end, but doctors performing all those tests on their own- doing their own lab work, working MRI’s and CAT scans and doing surgery etc ect? Uh huh – it just doesn’t happen in real life.

10…. Bones – Creepy gory medical mystery stuff with a fantastic looking FBI agent too. I used to read the creators books before the series came out so I was a fan of this show from the start, but like anything, the books are better!

11…. NCIS – Similar to CSI in some ways in that they do their own investigations , forensics and labwork. I enjoy watching the whole team work together.

12…. Two and a half Men – Two guys without a clue about women. I’m not a total fan of this show, it’s funny though. My husband of course really likes this show so we watch it every week.

13…. The Family Guy – My husbands favorite show and probably one of the best animated series on TV these days. I always laugh while watching it, but half of my laughing is at my husband because he laughs and giggles through the whole thing- he’s often even more entertaining than the show. LOL

World Premiere of FrightWorld

October 25, 2006 by Tricia

What are you doing this coming Halloween evening? Would you like to go to FrightWorld The Movie World Premiere? Do you enjoy Horror movies? If you could do you should not miss this event. What could be better than combining the most frightening night of the year with the world premiere of a horror film that’s touted as being an cross between Friday the 13th and the shining?

Frightworld, the World Movie premiere is taking place at Frightworld Haunted Amusement Park – one of the top 13 scream parks in the USA, in Williamsville, New York. If there is anyway that you can attend this event I think it will be more than worth going.

I’m totally a horror movie and horror novel fan. I previewed a short movie clip at the site and it looks like a real hide under the seat and scream until someone you love puts a comforting arm around you kind of movie. I’d love to go and see it myself but, unfortunately it’s too far away for me to travel. I’ll have to wait until it’s in a theater near me.

Not only will you attend the first screening of this new horror movie, you will be able to attend a Q& A with the stars of the movie – Dina Cataldi, Tiffany Scott and more. You’ll meet Kamilla “Katexenna” Kova, UK Fetish Model and Star of FrightWorld, FrightWorld Writer, Producer and Director David R Williams, and the FrightWorld FX Team. You’ll also Tour Frightworld Haunted Attractions 5 Award Winning Houses of Horror.

Isn’t it appropriate that exactly 13 bands participated in Frightworld – Marazene, Any Question, Obomatic, Punch Drunk, Imbued Vagary, Machine Gun Symphony/Charlie Drown, Synthetic Dream Foundation, Darker Days Tomorrow, Apikorism, Sick Machine, Abandcalledpain, and Tearwave.

If you’re interested in going you can buy advance tickets through the site link above for only $23 or else you can get them at the box office for $25 on the day of the show.

If anyone attends please let me know if it was as scary as it looks like it’s going to be.

Home Office from Hell Contest

October 23, 2006 by Tricia

If you work from home, full or part-time, or if you have a home office from hell, you might be interested in this contest that I found. It’s The Home Office From Hell contest. Fairly self-descriptive don’t you think?

The contest begins October 23rd, that’s today folks, and it will end on March 31, 2007. The official contest rules are posted on the site, but the basics of the contest are:

  • Post the top 10 reasons why you need to move out of your home office from hell;
  • Optionally – You can also upload a video of your hellacious office.

The grand prize winner will win 12 months of rent (up to $12,000) at any location posted on Offices2Share.com, and a paid trip to New York City which includes two nights hotel stay and lunch with Donald Trump’s right-hand man George Ross, A dell desktop computer, a Dell laptop computer, and a Dell switch and server, and tuition for the Entrepreneurship mastery program at Trump University. The grand prize looks like it’s worth more than 24,000 dollars! The second, third, fourth and fifth runner up winners will also win some valuable prizes.

If I were entering the contest my top 10 reasons why I would need to move out of my office from Hell would be:

  1. My home office is in my living room dining room
  2. I have two desktop computers on my antique dining room table
  3. My chair is falling apart
  4. Our living room couch is the break room area, and the second office where the laptop is used most often
  5. I can’t concentrate when the TV is on
  6. I get distracted when the TV is on
  7. We are in the process of renovating our living room dining room – particularly the ceiling so I’m going to have to move my office
  8. I have loose plaster falling on me occasionally since we have cut the plaster in our ceiling
  9. I get the urge to dance to the music that I’m playing instead of working
  10. My husband and sometimes boarders use my Office!

That probably wouldn’t be a winning entry, but create a list that’s better than mine and send it in for the contest. What are you waiting for- look at the prize you could win!

Trivia Blog

October 23, 2006 by Tricia

Have you ever been trying to write an article or come up with some blogging ideas to write about? I know I have – perhaps you can tell sometimes. No? LOL Perhaps your writing something for work or a school project?

Well, I think I might have found a site that will help anyone that needs to find some facts, interesting trivia or come up with something unusual to write about. The site is called The Trivia Blog. The site is set up into several different categories, for example you can see what kind of interesting trivia they list for animals, clothing, food, history, holidays or locations. There are more categories to search for facts and trivia I just wanted to give you some examples.

There is a post up right now that lists facts about Eiffel Tower and it’s quite interesting. Did you know that the Eiffel tower 986 feet high and that it weighs 7 thousand tons! Under Holidays there’s an article called “Celebrate Cat Facts this Halloween” with information such as “Ever wonder why a cat sees in pitch-black dark? It’s because their eyes take light in and reflect if back out … like a flashlight!”.

There is a lot of information on this site already, and I’m sure it will grow as time goes by.
