ProFlowers – special occasion flowers and gift ideas

May 12, 2007 by Tricia

Well it’s Mother’s day tomorrow. Did you make some plans to see your mother, or perhaps if you can’t be with her maybe you arranged for a flower delivery? If you forgot you can always send a belated flower delivery or gift basket.

ProFlowers has some wonderful selections of Mother’s Day flowers and even though it’s too late to order them for tomorrows delivery they have some gorgeous mixed bouquets. Some even come with free weekday delivery!

Did you know that Proflowers delivers the freshest flowers? The flowers for your selection come fresh from the fields. I don’t think that there are many other companies that specialize in flower delivery that can offer such fresh flowers.

Don’t feel like giving your mom or someone you love flowers? What about a lovely gift basket, or gourmet basket? Perhaps your mother would prefer a potted green plant or flowering plant? Maybe a bonsai or potted orchids? It’s up to you. Just know that there’s a wide selection of item to choose from at ProFlowers. You won’t be disappointed.

If you’d like to learn more about flowers you might enjoy taking a look at another section of their site called the Florapedia flower guide. You can use the guide to learn more about caring for plants, the meaning of the various flowers and their colors, and even get some help deciding which flowers to send your mom.

Remember to visit Proflowers the next time you need gift ideas or want to send flowers for a special occasion.

Twenga – your UK shopping search engine

April 27, 2007 by Tricia

logo-beta.gif Feel like doing a little shopping? Well if you happen to live in the UK you might want to gander over to Twenga. Twenga is a UK based shopping search engine that uses proprietary crawl technology in order to provide the best shopping deals for their members.

The site is easy to navigate. There are category listings on the left side of the main page, and all pages have category tabs across the top so that you can easily browse through the site without having to return to the home page first.

You can find just about anything you need on Twenga. You’ll find great deals on Photo equiptment, camcorders, digital cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players, computers, Household appliances, Homewares, Linen, Furniture, Gardening – DIY, Fashion accessories, clothing and many more products.

Another thing that I like about this site is that once you select a product that you want to know more about, for example this Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50, you can read a detailed description of the products. When you scroll down the product page you’ll see a list of online stores that sell this Panasonic model.

Other features that you might enjoy are the fact that you can read articles of the products that you’re interested in, as well as write a rating yourself. I believe that you can also rate the products that are listed as well.

If you happen to be browsing the site and see an item that a friend might like, perhaps some jewellery, you can click on the “Recommend to a friend” link that’s located directly under the product rating on the right of the product description and tell them about interesting item that you found.

It seems that they’ve thought of just about everything on this site that you might need.

Tea that blooms – Fullbloomtea.com

April 17, 2007 by Tricia

I enjoy a nice cup of tea every now and then, as I’m sure that many of you do as well. So I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked to do an article for Fullbloomtea.com. Full Bloom teas truly are blooming teas.

bloom.jpg

Each sachet of tea is hand crafted by an artisan, and when you steep the tea it actually blooms into a floral bouquet right before your very eyes. In case, you are wondering this isn’t just a novelty, you can drink the tea.

There are 13 different types or floral bouquet teas to choose from, and I believe that all of them are composed of Silver Needle White Tea leaves, and then each different full bloom tea has it’s own particular flower flavor. One contains Jasmine, another Lily, Globe Amaranth and many other floral and herbal flavors throughout the whole collection.

When you look at the descriptions for each floral bloom tea, don’t forget to look at the other two tabs at the top of the description box. You’ll learn the health benefits of the ingredients of that particular tea, and how best to steep it.

You can purchase a full bloom tea separately, or you can buy several or a dozen at a time. You could also give them as gifts or enroll in their bloom club for 3,6,9 or 12 months and receive 6 blooms of the month. Each club plan includes different goodies along with the bloom of the month. Some will send along teacups and a teapot, while others will also include a tea commuter mug.

You can also purchase teaware and party favors along with a few other tea related items.

If you enjoy tea, or know someone who would enjoy getting a Blooming Tea as a gift please do visit Fullbloomtea.com and take a look at the different full bloom teas.

Down Bedding Sale at DownDeals.com

April 16, 2007 by Tricia

I keep saying that spring is the time of year when I and many others start to not only do our spring cleaning, or begin home renovation projects, but it’s also the time to get great deals on some of the items that we can’t live without during the cool winter months.

Yeah, that’s right. It’s the time for clearance and closeout sales. Of course, DownDeals.com is no exception to this rule as they too are having closeout and clearance sales on their bedding items. If you like to sleep in comfort, be surrounded by cozy soft warmth you should check out their Down Bedding Sale. Shipping is free if your order is over $50, and there’s also a coupon code near the top of the main page that will save you 25% on your down comforter purchases.

Not interested? Do you think down comforters and other down items are too hot? I guess you haven’t heard that you can buy items that give different levels of warmth. You’ll never be too hot under a down comforter again if you select the right warmth level with the sites special search tool. You can also use their search tool to select the correct pillow density if you are interested in buying some down filled pillows for your bedroom set.

I haven’t had a down comforter in years, but with the fevers that I get all the time, and air-conditioning in the summer perhaps I should get a down filled comforter. I could use it year round whenever I feel chilly.

Down comforters, pillows and other bedding related items would make a great gift too, especially since these items are on sale now. Check it out.
