UPDATE:

At approximately 4:10 a.m. December 30th, CNN began airing video tape acquired from Iraq TV of a portion of Saddams hanging.

He was led to the gallows wearing a dark coat, perhaps a suit coat. He was shackled and handcuffed as he shuffled forward awkwardly. He looked calm and resigned to his fate. He was offered a head covering by the gallows men but he refused to wear it. Instead one of the men placed the head covering around Husseins neck somewhat like a scarf, perhaps to protect his skin. A noose was then placed around his neck and tightened. The video froze with Saddam looking straight ahead as he stood on the gallows waiting for the bottom to drop out and be hanged.

Saddams Hanging to be Televised

by Tricia

saddam.jpg The date and timing of Saddams hanging hasn’t been set yet, but as of late Thursday it was said that when he’s turned over by the American Military to the Iraqi Government he’ll be hanged within 36 hours, and hanged before the start of the Muslim holiday on Sunday.

Saddam was convicted in the deaths of 148 people in 1982 earlier this year. Several sources have said that Saddam’s execution would be videotaped by the Iraqi government, though it isn’t clear if this will be released to the public or broadcast live over the networks.

“We will video everything,” Iraqi National Security adviser Mouffak al Rubaie told CBS News.

The Iraqi government released video last Tuesday of the hanging of 13 convicts, so it’s presumed that the hanging of Saddam will eventually be aired. ABC and CBS said they wouldn’t air the full execution if the video became available.

“We’re very aware that we’re coming into people’s living rooms and that there could be children watching,” CBS News senior vp Linda Mason said.

“We have very, very strict guidelines with how to deal with that,” said Bob Murphy, senior vp at ABC News. “If there were pictures made available of the execution, they would have to be viewed by senior management before we would put them on the air, and we would make a judgment of taste and propriety of what we would show.”

CNN and Fox News were still in discussion of what they would do if footage became available. The newly launched Al-Jazeera International network hasn’t stated if it will air the videotapes yet either. Al-Jazeera’s pan-Arab channel has never shown an execution.

What’s your take on this? Would you watch Saddam Hussein?

Get creative with Filmator

by Tricia

Have you always wanted to make a flashy online presentation something that goes well with your website, or perhaps a presentation that highlights key aspects of your business or a product your company sells or makes? Well now you can with this relatively new way of creating presentations at Filmator.net.

The site touts itself as a creative website for creative people. However it seems it’s never been easier to be creative. Filmator makes it very easy to create presentations, portfolios, videos, animations, documentaries, and new media art. All you need to do to begin creating is first- register for an account, then upload your videos, pictures, sounds and flash films. Organize them in whichever playing sequence that you’d like according to trigger points set in the sound file, and in no time at all you’ll have an online presentation ready to use, quickly and for free.

I have two very large pet information related websites and I’m already beginning to think of ways that I can use Filmator on my sites.

Commercial Filmator.net users are charged, but artists may produce their presentations free. Both business and individuals can quickly make flash demonstration and distribute them worldwide without having to learn a new program or have particular software training. Filmator does all the hard work and makes it easy for you to create your presentation quickly and easily and then embed it on an Internet or Intranet site for viewing.

Here’s an example of one of the videos that can be made at Filmator, this is called “Painting with Sunlight”:

Britney Loses her publicist

by Tricia

britney_spears_04.jpg Britney Spears publicist has moved on to begin her own company.

Sonia Muckle, only became Spears publicist this past October after Leslie Sloane Selnick left that same month.

Sonia Muckle has helped Britney deal with press coverage which includes news of Britney’s filing for divorce and subsequent partying.

Sonia insists her departure has nothing to do with Britney’s recent behaviour: “I left of my own accord. This has been in the works for several months.”

I’m thinking that Britney can probably get along without a publicist for a while. With all her partying and uhm other forms of exposure lately, she’s been making the celebrity gossip news almost daily.

Peace of mind while your kids use Myspace

by Tricia

Here’s the scenerio, you come home everyday from work and your child is on the internet. He or she always seems to close their computer browser quickly whenever you enter the room, but you’ve seen enough to know that they are on Myspace. You’ve heard that myspace is popular with teens and even adults and that it’s a way for them to meet with and talk to their friends online. However, you’ve also heard that a lot of sexual predators hang out on Myspace trying to entice young girls and boys into either exposing themselves online or perhaps meeting them offline somewhere. Your childs’ behavior of hiding whatever he or she is doing online worries you.

What can you do about it?

Well, you could install the award winning Spector Pro monitoring software. This software is apparently the only one of it’s kind that can record every single aspect of activity on Myspace.com, including myspace login and passwords.

With this software you could check to see that your child isn’t putting information online that could endanger themselves or even your family and home. You’ll be able to see everything from the comments they receive to the messages they send out to others.

If you are concerned about your child and want to keep him or her safe while they have fun online think about purchasing Spector Pro.

You can get more information about this product online at their site. Just follow the link listed above.
