Kelly Osbourne tearily reveals that a family member has HIV

kelly_osbourne_150c.JPG Kelly Osbourne broke into tears last night at an AIDs benefit “Body and Soul” in London’s Koko Club.

Kelly was on stage to introduce the Scissor Sisters when she said “This charity is really important to me because one of my family is HIV positive. And I’m so, so proud of him.” An onlooker added: “Kelly seemed really upset and could hardly speak through her tears. It was really emotional to hear her reveal something so personal. Everyone was shocked.”

Now the world is speculating as to who she might have been talking about? Is it an immediate relative or a distant one? I suppose we might know soon now that the news has broken.

In other Kelly Osbourne news, she got into a scrap backstage at the Brit Awards, with “I’m A Celebrity” winner Matt Willis. Matt, who was a presenter at the awards approached Kelly for an interview and they began to argue. She’s said to have even given Matt a slap before storming off.

Whatever they were fighting over hasn’t been revealed.





Kate and Owen in Australia

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson made a public appearance in Australia on Sunday. They were attending a private screening of Matthew McConaughey’s “We are Marshall“.

The couple who are rarely seen together in public made a low key entrance to the Pacific Fair Cinema. Owen was apparently a surprise guest at the screening – which was put on for the thirty cast and crew of “Fools Gold” a movie that Kate and Matthew have been filming on location since November.

“They were cozy – they chose seats together – and seemed relaxed although slightly nervous, probably because they were in public together,” the onlooker says. “Once the lights dimmed, they chilled out a bit more.”

As far as we know Owen was visiting Australia for the whole weekend and may still be traipsing about with Kate.

Britney almost missed her flight from Miami to LA last Friday

britney_spears1.jpg The other day I reported that upon arrival in LA Britney Spears promptly went to a hair salon and shaved off her own hair and that she was acting like she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Well, I didn’t have the whole story at that time. Apparently she was upset shortly after arriving at the Miami International Airport on her way back to LA because she almost missed her flight.

Apparently Britney almost lost it when she learned that she might miss her flight to Los Angeles this past Friday. She was carrying two small bags as she rant through the Miami International airport to catch her American Airlines flight. When she arrived at the gate she was informed that the walkway had already been retracted from the plane and that the flight was closed.

She became very upset and said to the agent “I’ve got to get on this plane to get home to my kids.” and looked like she was about to cry. Luckily the ticket agent called the pilot and asked that Spears be allowed to board the flight.

Spears was relieved as she began to walk towards the boarding area, but she did stop to give an autograph to the ticket agent and turned to the onlookers and waved “God bless” she said, and then got on the plane.

I wonder if anything else happened on board that flight or when she arrived in LA that prompted her rash action of cutting off her own hair?

What do you think the celebs pay for insurance?

Can you imagine what the cost of car insurance must be for all the Hollywood celebrities with their fancy cars? Many have multiple cars – luxury cars. I can only imagine that the cost of insuring all those cars is probably more than I make in a year.

Same for their home insurance since many of them live in mansion style homes worth millions. We think that our property taxes and yearly home insurance costs are high enough, and our house isn’t worth anywhere near the price of their homes.

I’m sure that with Nicole Ritchie recently being charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (she admitted to having taken vicodin and smoking some whacky tabacy) that at some point in the future Nicole will be looking to compare car insurance rates, because I’m sure hers will probably end up going up now that she’s been charged with a driving offence.

With so many stars getting in to trouble just driving their cars lately I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a weekly Hollywood insurance news tabloid out there.

Official complaint against Bahamas Minister of Immigration

Last week when all the entertainment programs were talking about the death of Anna Nicole Smith there was one clip that showed her lying in bed, very nice and cozy with the Minister of Immigration for the Bahamas.

Now news has come out that the Police Commissioner has received an official complaint against the former Minister of Immigration, Shane Gibson, and that there is now a formal investigation being conducted.

Gibson resigned after the chummy photos of him and Anna Nicole Smith, that I just mentioned, surfaced. He had paved the way for Smith’s petition for residency even though she might not have been entitled to receive it.

An investigation into the allegations will take place but there is no further news on this subject at this time.
