Birkhead and Arthur to meet for custody discussion?

I’ve missed a few days posting and celeb news here this week. Sorry to my regular visitors. I’ve been quite ill the last few days and just haven’t been able to get to the blog to update you on all the latest juicy happenings.

Well .. as I’m sure you’ve already heard, Larry Birkhead’s DNA test revealed that he is indeed the father of baby Dannielynn. I’m not the least bit surprised at that news. The way Howard Stern was acting in the last two weeks before the DNA reports were finalized led me to believe that he knew or strongly suspected that he wasn’t the father of Anna Nicoles baby girl.

So what’s happening now? Well, Virgie Arthur, mother of Anna Nicole Smith, had her lawyer, John O’Quinn announce that she and Larry Birkhead will be meeting privately sometime tomorrow. No lawyers will be present while they talk. Hmmm wouldn’t it be interesting if Polycom video conferencing were set in the room and we could all listen in?

The pair are meeting to discuss what they believe will be in the best interest of the baby and to try to make whatever they decide happen. O’Quinn said that they will try to create a custody solution that the court will be likely to approve.

Celebrity tournaments?

I was just wondering … Have there ever been any celebrity pool tournaments?

Yeah I know celebrity poker tournaments are all the rage right now, but wasn’t there celebrity pool tournaments, perhaps even 8 ball pool games in the recent past?

Are they still happening? I did a google search and I found a mention of a HipHop celebrity pool tournament hosted by Queen Latifah a year ago January, but no recent events.

Anyone know the answer?

Hurley’s in-laws cut off all ties with newlyweds

hurley_nayer.jpg Elizabeth Hurley’s new father in law is not a happy man. The lavish weddings that the couple – Hurley and her new husband Arun Nayer, angered Vinod Nayer enough that he made a statement in Britain’s Sunday Mirror.

Vinod Nayer is quoted as saying “Liz and Arun have treated us very shabbily,” adding, “I feel that Liz and Arun behaved shamefully and placed more importance on showing off than their own family.”

He went on to say that the couple made he and his wife feel like social outcasts at their Indian wedding and opulent English ceremony and has cut off all ties to the couple. Perhaps the inclusion of guests like Elton John, Elle macpherson, and fashion designer Tom Ford led Vinod to feel this way.

Britney Spears and her manager’s relationship “strained”

Thatotherblog.com is reporting that Britney spears and her long time manager Larry Rudolph are having difficulties. There’s been a rift in their relationship ever since Spears left rehab. Rudolph has been working to repair the damage. Unfortunately if he can’t this will be yet another strong supporter that Britney has lost and she’ll have no other real representation.

It just seems like it’s one thing after another for Britney these days doesn’t it?
