Free arcade games!

Do you like playing arcade style games? I haven’t played any for ages. I used to play a few online in the 90’s and before that, well, on some of the very old, perhaps you might call them “Beta” home game systems.

If you enjoy arcade games visit the ArcadeCow.com and Play free arcade games. If you’re a decent player you could win a prize too. You’ll need to register to become a member, but once you do, you can participate in a “High Score Contest” that began March 13th and runs through until April 14th, 2007. You could win an iPod shuffle and an iTunes gift card if you’re one of the top five high scorers. Plus, if you are the highest scorer you’ll get an additional $30 on top of the other prizes that I mentioned.

ArcadeCow is a free flash game site. There are over 2500 free online games available for both members and non members to play. That’s a huge selection of games. There’s everything from classic games to arcade, adventure, puzzle, shooting, sports, strategy and a number of other games types to choose from – check it out for yourself.

Reality Knights and www.ArcadeCow.com, a free flash games site with over 2500 free online games available to members and non-members, will be running a high score contest for Arcade Cow members from March 13th, 2007 to April 14th, 2007.

Prizes will include an iPod shuffle and iTunes gift card for the players with the top five highest scores. The top player will receive an additional $30 cash prize.

While Arcade Cow offers a free online gaming experience to both members and non-members, a free membership is required in order for gamers to participate in the high score contest, because membership allows for saved game scores.

The contest will revolve around a game called The Milkman, and there is no cost to register, participate in the high score contest, or play any of Arcade Cow’s free online games.

Arcade Cow’s free online game high score contest will have members competing for a high score while playing “The Milkman.” Players will earn points by virtually shooting a milkman as he pops up in various areas of the playing screen, which is a photo of a barn. Shooting the milkman earns various point levels, whereas misfiring costs points and will eventually end the player’s game or “life.”

Users interested in registering to participate in the free online gaming high score contest to win an iPod shuffle or cash prizes, can do so through a simple registration form at www.ArcadeCow.com.

Rob and Amber eliminated from Amazing Race

I watched the Amazing Race last night. I had missed the first episode of this “All Star” series and didn’t realize that Rob and Amber were part of this new All Star show.

I was very disappointed to see them there as contestants. Don’t these people have a life? I mean they started out on Survivor and then shortly after that appeared on the Amazing Race. Wasn’t there wedding publicized as well? I haven’t kept up with any other reality shows that they might have appeared on, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve been on Fear Factor as well. If they haven’t – mark my words, they’ll probably be on it at some point.

What amazes me is that this notorious couple, well known for back stabbing others have won at least two million dollars from Reality shows and likely a heck of a lot more from public endorsements and appearances. They don’t need to keep appearing on these shows, and frankly I’d appreciate it if they never showed up on my TV screen again.

They’re supposed to be married. Can’t they get along when they are at home together? Is there no spice in the relationship without having TV cameras focused on them as they compete to win contest after contest? Shouldn’t they start working on a family or something?

Watching last nights episode I was ready to declare that I wouldn’t watch any more episodes of the Amazing Race if Rob and Amber continued to stab others in the back and some how outwit and out smart the other contestants. So I can’t tell you how pleased I was to see them come in last at the end of the show and get eliminated!

Now if I decide to watch any more episodes of this All Star version of the Amazing race I won’t have to worry about watching these despicable people.

Former American Idol contestants speak out

Ok, so I’m not really a huge fan of American Idol. I’m sure that’s just a horrendous admission to some of you, but I’ll bet there’s a few reading this that will silently nod their head in agreement. I just think idol is something you either love or you hate. Hey, I live with a musician – I don’t need to watch a show about hopefuls, I’ve got built in entertainment here at home!

Ok, so having said that, there’s been a lot of buzz about A.I. this season and some of the contestants who’ve been kicked off the show – or voted off I mean.

So here’s some scoop on them.

This past Thursday yet another round of Idol hopefuls were given their walking papers. Antonella Barba who’s been scandal plagued since racy photos of her began circulating the internet was cut. No big shock and aw there. People Magazine decided to have a chat with some of the newly expelled contestants.

Antonella Barba says that the controversy going around made it difficult for her to concentrate, although she tried to stay focused on the competition. She’s unhappy of how she’s been portrayed to the public and while her name is now well known it’s not how she hoped to be known. She also states, again, that not all of the photos released on the internet are of her, but that the ones that were of her are very personal. She’s hoping to get some interesting offers- perhaps to do some pop music that she’d add an R&B / Bluesy / jazzy style to.

Jarred Cotter thinks he was eliminated because of Simon’s comments over the last two weeks. He doesn’t feel that his performance warranted his being cut. He says he’s disappointed and shocked. He’ll stay in L.A. for a few more weeks to see what opportunities come his way. One thing he know for sure is that he doesn’t want to end up going back to waiting tables.

Sabrina Sloan hadn’t prepared herself for going home. The judges comments had led her to believe that she’d be in the contest for a while to come. She says that a lot of the songs that she wanted to sing didn’t happen in time as that might have set her apart from her big voiced competitors. She plans to continue singing and performing as it’s been her passion. She’s been collaborating with friends and will try to put out an album.

Sundance Head says that all the guys on the show are “extremely genuine guys”. He has no hard feelings toward any of the men that remain. Like the others he was extremely disappointed when he was voted off the show. He wonders if the voters thought he was safe and didn’t vote for him for that reason? He says that he’s going back to Texas to get a band together and start playing. He wants to keep his fans happy and had even considered putting some of his future work on the Internet.

Kate Walsh of Grey’s Anatomy ready to work on love life

kate_walsh.jpg Grey’s Anatomy star, Kate Walsh, says that now that her 40th birthday is fast approaching (October) she’s ready to get her love life in order.

The actress who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd on the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy says “I’m a bit of a later bloomer, I need to do with relationships what I’ve done with work.”

“In the past, I’ve been work, work, work – and then I’m done and ’cause I’m tired and desperate, I’m like … YOU!” mimicking reaching for the nearest male body.

A native of San Jose, California, she admits that she wasn’t ready for the ups and downs of a serious relationship. “I realize it’s a juvenile fear, but I haven’t wanted to be in a relationship where I’m doing a downward dog and some guy is just like, ‘I hate you. I hate it when you do whatever that thing is that you do that I hate.’ ”

So isn’t it ironic that her latest and possibly most prominent acting gig involves her being known as one of prime times most notorious maneaters. “Here I am working 13-, sometimes 16-hour days, and trying to date and it’s so new to me to date more than one person at a time. Sometimes I feel like, What am I doing? Am I becoming my character, or is my character becoming me?”

So what kind of men might catch her eye when she finally has some time to work on a relationship? “I don’t need someone with a hot body,” she says. “He can be fat or overweight and have a belly. It’s very much about style and substance and humor, interest, curiosity and really being smart.”

I was just reading yesterday that there’s a proposed spin-off for the Grey’s Anatomy star. The network will test out the new shows prospects with a special two hour episode of Grey’s anatomy which I believe is set to air sometime in May. I hear that she has a clause in her contract where, if the new spin off doesn’t take, she can come back to Grey’s.

Jon Header and his lack of previous experience with women

john_heder180.jpg Jon Heder, famous for his role in Napoleon Dynamite, sounds like a sweet and innocent kind of guy.

His hit movie in 2004 turned him into a lovable loser on screen and an unlikely heartthrob off screen.

He was recently interviewed for the upcoming April issue of Elle magazine. During the interview he was asked if there was a “buffet of eager women” waiting for him after the movie came out. Heder jokingly replied “Maybe there was a buffet at some location that my bus just did not reach. But yeah, there was definitely this ‘I love you! I love you!’ this and that.”

The Mormon actor, happily married and expecting his first child with his wife of 5 years was never tempted by the movies groupies “You don’t want to hook up with all those greasy girls. And they don’t want you. They want Napoleon. And I wasn’t about to go back to that perm.”

Heder, who will costar in a new movie “Blades of Glory” with Will Farrell, also took the time to talk about one of his most embarrassing moments. He says he didn’t have a lot of previous experience with women since he and his wife Kirsten were college sweethearts. He does remember one embarrassing moment – “I had my first kiss when I was 17 or 18. The second time we kissed I got a little excited and I was wearing these really loose shorts that didn’t leave much to the imagination.” he went on to say “I tried to angle my body away and divert her eyes by saying, ‘Hey, look at the stars.’ From then on I wore tighter jeans.”

Aw, doesn’t he sound like a nice guy?
