Dumbledore is gay

by Tricia

On Friday author J.K. Rowling revealed that one of the characters of her novel is gay! You might have heard by now that Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore fancied his rival Gellert Grindelwald who was later offed in a battle between the good and bad wizards.

“Falling in love can blind us to an extent,” Rowling said of Dumbledore’s feelings, adding that Dumbledore was “horribly, terribly let down” and that his love was a “great tragedy.”

J.K. Rowling was here in Toronto on Tuesday for a book signing and publicity event. I’m sure she spent most of her time answering questions about Dumbledore.

And where is Dumbledore now? We hear he might be in Barcelona shopping, but that could just be yet another rumor.

Celebrity News – Updates on the latest happenings

by Tricia

Wondering what’s been happening with your favorite celebrities in the last week?

I found a video feed that has a number of recent news stories about celebrities like Lindsey Lohan, Princess Diana’s final moments on video, and Britney seeing her kids for the first time since she lost custody?

There’s also a story about Owen Wilson attending the premiere of his latest movie. I think that’s his first public outing since his alleged suicide attempt.

Mike Tyson, Dennis Rodman and Kiefer Sutherland all had trouble with the law.

Here, take a look at some of the news stories in these videos and catch up:

TMZ on TV

by Tricia

Have you had a chance to catch the latest entertainment and celebrity gossip show to hit the air waves? What am I talking about? Well TMZ TV.

When I heard that TMZ was going to have a television show I thought it would probably be like all the other Entertainment shows, but it wasn’t. I really liked their format.

It’s very fast paced, somewhat like their website with it’s multiple posts each day. Quick snappy humorous clips of stars caught on film and little gossipy tidbits and jokes thrown in here and there.

I watched the show last night and I think I laughed through at least half of it. Hmmm maybe TMZ TV is good medicine too?

List of Toronto Hot Spots to see Celebrities

by Tricia

Attending the Toronto Film Festival? Visiting Toronto? Well if you want to know where the stars will dine and party while in town your in luck because I’ve got the low down.

There’s going to be some Festival soirees at these fabulous locations:

Sassafraz – 100 Cumberland st at Bellair. This fantastic restaurant burned to the ground in December, but it’s been rebuilt and is said to be better than ever – just in time for the Toronto Film Festival.

One- 118 Yorkville Ave, at Hazelton – There will be several private parties at this new hot spot. One is definitely a place to keep an eye on.

Brasserie – 162 Cumberland at Avenue Rd – a great place to sit on the patio. Apparently Brad Pitts been seen slipping over to the patio, perhaps for a smoke since it’s said to be the closest bar to the Four Seasons Hotel that permits smoking on it’s premises. Yes Toronto’s a tough town for smokers.

Other hot locations to attend or perhaps stand outside of as you watch for stars to come and go would be C5 at the top of the crystal in the ROM (100 Queen’s Park at Bloor), Jamie Kennedy – Gardiner Museum (111 Queen’s Park and Bloor) and of course the Spice Room & Chutney Bar located in the atrium of Hazelton Lanes (55 Hazelton and Yorkville).

If you want to party until Dawn drop into the Four Seasons Hotel (21 Avenue rd and Yorkville) or the Park Hyatt (4 Avenue Rd and Bloor). Both hotels will have festivities ongoing until at least 4 a.m. during the festival.

Other clubs with extended drinking hours that are also well known festival venues are the Rosewater Supper Club (19 Toronto at Adelaide), The Courthouse (57 Adelaide East at Toronto), The Drake Hotel (1150 Queen West at Beaconsfield) and the Century Room (580 King West at Portland). These places are sure to be rockin’ till dawn.
