Go Fish is having a fun contest where you could win a date with a celeb. Are you up for it? I guess this one would be more for the guys since the celebrity that you could win a date with is Mirelly Taylor.

You might know Mirelly Taylor from movies and television shows like Kiss me again, Serving Sara, Las Vegas, Numb3rs. You can see some Free videos at GoFish.com of her. Plus, if you visit the site you can learn just what it will take to win a date with this beautiful celebrity.

The Seduce a Celeb contest will run on GoFish.com for the next 14 weeks. To enter the contest you need to watch Mirelly’s video. You’ll learn by watching the video that you must make three different videos to correspond with the three “call to actions” that she requests. Your video entries should be creative as you want to catch the eye of the voters. Then, once you’ve created your videos all you have to do is upload them to the site and hope that your videos do well.

Site visitors can watch and vote on the various contest submissions. Some of them are hilarious!

What I like about this contest is that the online audience can actually become part of the show through their video submissions, so it’s like an online reality show. Apparently Emmy award winning Producer Scott Sternberg and hottie Andrew Firestone from the Bachelor will also be part of the show.

I kind of like the idea of this contest. I’m going to be keeping an eye on it over the next three and a half months to see what happens. Perhaps, you, one of my readers, will win?

I wonder if this turns out to be a big hit if they’ll run another Seduce a Celeb contest? Maybe a male celeb next time? That’d be interesting.

Bid4Prizes – lowest unique bid wins great prize

I keep hearing about bid4prizes and I decided to finally check it out and tell you about it.

Bid4prizes in a unique bidding site. You sign up for a membership, bid on cool prizes that you’d love to own and guess what the lowest unique bidder wins the prize. Isn’t that neat?

I signed up and took a look at the prizes available to be won and you know what? The prizes are really nice! Right now there’s a 42″ Plasma Panasonic, a Sony VAIO laptop computer, 50″ Phillips Plasma HDTV, $500 cash and a number of other great prizes.

I can’t even decide which prize I’d want the most because they are so good I wouldn’t mind winning them all. I suppose if I had to choose I’d pick the $500 cash because that is not only one of my wants, it’s one of my needs, and hey, if the cash turned out to not be needed I could by whatever I wanted with it anyway right?

Sell your Flickr photos for cash at FlickrCash

Have you heard of FlickrCash yet? No? Well, FlickrCash is a site that allows Flickr members to sell their photos and images for cash. The site also helps those interested in purchasing images find the image that they need. The system automates payments and licensing agreements.

If you wanted to search for a particular term or phrase, perhaps Red Flowers for example, you’d be taken to a page of search results that looked like this – Red Flowers – found and licensed by FlickrCash. Look at that. Hundreds of images of all kinds of red flowers.

Once you’ve done a search, you can select photos by clicking on them. A pop out information bar will come up on the right hand side of the photo telling you what sizes the photo comes in, and what kind of license the photo is listed under. You can also delete photos that come in your search and move them upward in the line up in order to re-arrange the layout.

You can save your searches, and create shareable lightboxes that clients can rate with a heart for love it, or hate for dislike. How you use these images is up to you, and of course by the type of license placed on the image. Many of the images that I’ve viewed fall under the creative commons license.

I have to fully explore this new site to discover all of the things that one can use it for. Certainly it would make it easier to find images that you’d like to use on websites or perhaps even as prints.

At this time the site is still in Beta mode and registration is free to all. As of next week the site will be moving out of Beta and begin charging monthly usage fees. If you register now your membership will be grandfathered into the system and will always be a free membership.
