Birkhead and Arthur to meet for custody discussion?

I’ve missed a few days posting and celeb news here this week. Sorry to my regular visitors. I’ve been quite ill the last few days and just haven’t been able to get to the blog to update you on all the latest juicy happenings.

Well .. as I’m sure you’ve already heard, Larry Birkhead’s DNA test revealed that he is indeed the father of baby Dannielynn. I’m not the least bit surprised at that news. The way Howard Stern was acting in the last two weeks before the DNA reports were finalized led me to believe that he knew or strongly suspected that he wasn’t the father of Anna Nicoles baby girl.

So what’s happening now? Well, Virgie Arthur, mother of Anna Nicole Smith, had her lawyer, John O’Quinn announce that she and Larry Birkhead will be meeting privately sometime tomorrow. No lawyers will be present while they talk. Hmmm wouldn’t it be interesting if Polycom video conferencing were set in the room and we could all listen in?

The pair are meeting to discuss what they believe will be in the best interest of the baby and to try to make whatever they decide happen. O’Quinn said that they will try to create a custody solution that the court will be likely to approve.

Howard Stern Engaged

Howard Stern got engaged yesterday. He announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend and model Beth Ostrosky on his Sirius Satellite radio show.

He proposed to the 34 year old model Tuesday evening and she said yes. Howard Stern is 53.

“Do you want your Valentine’s Day gift now?” Said Howard Stern as he re-enacted his proposal for his listeners.

He asked Ostrosky to strip down when she said she wanted her gift. She protested that she was too fat to strip down. After she said that, Stern says he thought, “Any girl who looks like that and thinks she’s fat â€“ I’ve got a chance with her.”

Once Beth was naked Howard gave her the 5.2 carat diamond engagement ring, and said “I love you. You’re everything to me, This is so gay. … I’m asking you to spend the rest of your life with me.”

Last month Stern had announced that he and Ostrosky had married, but revealed later that it was a prank. This time the engagement is real, although they say it will be a long engagement because, he said, that actually getting married is something that he and Ostrosky can’t think about right now.

Birkhead granted paternity test

Freelance photographer, Larry Birkhead, filed a law suit against Anna Nicole Smith to determine the paternity of her 3 month old daughter Dannielynn Hope.

Birkhead, who was pleased when he heard the news that a Los Angeles judge had ordered a paternity test to determine whether Birkhead is really Dannielynn’s father, rather than Howard Stern as Anna Nicole claims.

He said “If I was on anybody’s Christmas list, they can scratch me off because this is the best Christmas present I could have ever received,” Birkhead told PEOPLE. “I’m one step closer to beginning a relationship with my daughter.”

Smith, has been living in the Bahamas with Stern, but she recently returned to the US last week for a hearing in San Francisco regarding her battle to collect her inheritance from her late husband, oilman J. Howard Marshall II.
