Rosie and The Donald at war

Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump are at war.

The trouble started this past Wednesday when Rosie openly called Trump a “snake-oil salesman” following Tuesday’s announcement that he would not fire Miss USA Tara Conner. The war continued on Thursday when O’Donnell made more comments on the View and went on to post her thoughts on her blog.

“What a fun night of viewing,” O’Donnell said on the air about the TV news coverage of her feud with the star of The Apprentice.

Trump fired back in his own so eloquent way in a segment on ET The Insider:

Trump plans to sue her for questioning his financial situation as she had stated on her blog that Trump had been near bankruptcy in the early 90’s. As you hopefully saw when you watched the video, Trump threatened to have some men woo O’Donnell’s companion, Kelli Carpenter. O’Donnell stated on Fridays “The View” “I brought Kelli here today. I was afraid to leave her at home, in case someone with a comb-over came over and stole her from me.”

I’m beginning to think that Barbara Walters made a big mistake in hiring Rosie for The View. Last week she offended the Chinese and this week she’s gunning for Trump. Who will she set her sights on next week I wonder?

Birkhead granted paternity test

Freelance photographer, Larry Birkhead, filed a law suit against Anna Nicole Smith to determine the paternity of her 3 month old daughter Dannielynn Hope.

Birkhead, who was pleased when he heard the news that a Los Angeles judge had ordered a paternity test to determine whether Birkhead is really Dannielynn’s father, rather than Howard Stern as Anna Nicole claims.

He said “If I was on anybody’s Christmas list, they can scratch me off because this is the best Christmas present I could have ever received,” Birkhead told PEOPLE. “I’m one step closer to beginning a relationship with my daughter.”

Smith, has been living in the Bahamas with Stern, but she recently returned to the US last week for a hearing in San Francisco regarding her battle to collect her inheritance from her late husband, oilman J. Howard Marshall II.

Mel B sues Eddie Murphy for paternity

Mel B is going after Eddie Murphy in her paternity suit against actor Eddie Murphy. She’s hired lawyer Don Engel. She’s vowing to take him â€œto the cleanersâ€ . Mel B, who’s real name is Melanie Brown, formerly of the Spice Girls was dumped by Eddie during a TV interview.

“Mel is refusing to lie down and let Eddie walk all over her – and this is reflected in her choice of lawyer. She wants to hit him where it hurt the most – in the pocket. They don’t come much better than Don,” a source told the â€˜Daily Mirrorâ€™ newspaper.

“Don’s services don’t come cheap but he one of the best lawyers around. Most lawyers would relish taking on an A-list star and Don will surely be no exception,â€ the source added.

“This is a war and if Eddie doesn’t know it, he will very shortly.”

It’s expected that she’ll get a good settlement if she wins the case.

Yard sale draws a crowd of 300 spectators

A quick update on Tori’s yard sale …

I told you the other day that Spelling was going to be having a yard sale on Friday morning at her Studio city home. The sale was a hit – approximately 300 people showed up to look for bargains and some even flew in from Boston for the sale. They must have been die hard fans.

News helicopters hovered over the event as if it were an Awards show or Movie premiere. Items sold during the sale included wine glasses, a dominatrix whip, sofas, roller skates and a rubber duck and memorabilia from Spellings’ time with T-V show 9-0-2-1-0.

Naturally the event ended up being videotaped for the VH1 reality show which is loosely based on Spellings’ life.

Aniston and Vaughn split?

It’s official. In statements to People Magazine reps, Stephen Huvane and John Pisani, for Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn said that they have decided to part ways. They said “After Jennifer’s trip to London several weeks ago, Jennifer and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be good friends today.” The pair had been dating since filming the movie The Break Up in Chicago during the summer of 2005.

There’s been speculation for some time that the two were cooling off. Vaughn has been in London since September filming Fred Claus, and Aniston has been working in L.A. and New York.

You might remember that in October Vince Vaughn threatened to sue several tabloids that had alleged he was seen kissing a mystery blonde and had ended his relationship with Aniston. The pair both made efforts to dispel these rumors – particularly Aniston who went on Oprah on October 11th to say that the two were still together.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I liked the two of them as a couple – hopefully they’ll end up getting back together. If they don’t, I wonder how long it will be before a mysterious blonde begins to appear on Vinces arm?
