I often wonder about all the paparazzi that follow around many of our favorite stars and or the ones that always seem to make the news whether they are all that famous as an actor, model or not – ie Paris Hilton – what the heck is she anyway?

Do you think all of the paparazzi are truly professional photographers who perhaps went to the various photography schools? Or do you think many of them were just every day normal people who happened to enjoy photography as a hobby, and lucked out one day by taking a great shot of a celebrity, perhaps getting a scoop on some big news and started to make a name for themselves as a photographer purely by chance?

I’m an amateur photographer. I enjoy mostly taking photos of nature and cityscapes, but this year when the Toronto Film festival begins I might attend some of the screenings and of course I’ll bring my camera. Who knows, maybe I’ll luck out and get a shot that no one else managed to get? Wouldn’t that be cool?
