Lohan’s Birthday party cancelled

I don’t get what all the fuss is about Lindsay Lohan’s 21st birthday party. She went into rehab at Promises Treatment Center on May 28th. Don’t tell me people really expected her to either get a day pass or be out of rehab in time for her 21st birthday party that was supposed to have been held at PURE in Las Vegas?

Of course it’s canceled.

Pure was still promoting the party, but it’s been officially canceled for two weeks.

“But Lindsay will not be having the birthday party at PURE and is focusing on her recovery 100%.â€ Says Lindsay’s rep.

Lindsay had to promise a future appearance at the club in order to cancel her birthday festivities.

Apparently The Georgi Car service has offered free chauffeur services to both Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan so that they won’t ever get another DUI.

You can learn more about drug addiction and exactly what drug rehab really is, plus you’ll be able to find local treatment facilities in your area.

The earlier someone with an addiction gets help the sooner they can get back on their feet- get their life back and be proud of themselves again. Call the hotline.

Lohan felt safe in rehab

In an interview for Allure’s May issue Lindsay Lohan discusses her stay at Wonderland, the West Hollywood rehab facility that she stayed at earlier this year. She says she felt safe there. Back in January, she say that she awoke to a house surrounded by paparazzi on both ground and air.

Her therapist suggested that she go to Wonderland in the Laurel Canyon, and she agreed once she knew that the paparazzi was kept out.

When she arrived at the facility she found “a quiet room, all white, with parquet, and it was different! I just felt safe,” she says. “I thought, ‘I’m going to stay here tonight.’ And I stayed there. For a month. It was great.”

Still, she reflects with reluctance, “It’s so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab.” And, despite attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for more than a year, she says, “I don’t know that I’m necessarily an addict.”

Lohan says that she feels like a protector to her three younger siblings because she came from a fractured family.

“I feel like a second parent in the sense that I helped raise my family,” she says, admitting to a being especially watchful over Ali. “The fact that my sister is not here â€“ I’m kind of angry with her. Because it freaks me out.” Ali was at home with a headache at the time of the interview.

“When my friends and family are around me, I feel like they’re safe,” Lohan says. “The craziest things can happen, but it’s OK.”

Producer Garrett talks about Britney’s new album and recent events

Producer Sean Garrett says that things are starting to come together for Britney these says. She’s out of rehab and has a lot of people rooting for her.

Garrett spoke with People at the Kids Choice Awards, stating that he’s working with Britney and “It’s really coming together right now. I know she’ll do exceptionally well now that she’s out of rehab.”

Garrett had been working with pop star Spears her on five songs for her upcoming album just before she checked into Malibu’s Promises treatment center for rehab on February 20th. Garrett has worked with and produced tracks for Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, and Jennifer Lopez in the past.

Garrett freely promoted Spears new album when he was speaking with People stating that the new disk “is like ‘Toxic’ times 10. It’s going to be a lot of fun and it’s really exciting. We did a lot of great work before her break.”

He feels that Britney knows how to handle herself, and that she’s a superstar and will emerge from her recent experience stronger than ever.

He also said that she’s kept her composure under the circumstances. Well, perhaps she has in some cases, but I’m not sure how shaving your hair off in public and attacking a paparazzi’s vehicle with an umbrella shows that she’s kept her composure.

What do you think folks? In all the Britney Spears stories that you’ve heard since oh say October 06, do you feel that Britney has kept her composure?

I do feel that she will overcome everything that’s happened over the past six months or so, but lets not sugar coat it.

The pressure sometimes gets to you, but I think she has done such a great job keeping her composure under the circumstances.”

It seems the that the more you listen to the news, particularly celebrity related news, the more you hear about people with drug and alcohol addiction problems.
